Stopped for lunch on our way to the Outer Banks. Large dining area and filled parking lot. A number of locals which was a good sign. Diverse menu. Catfish dinners and sides were exceptional and came out quickly. Server was friendly and attentive. You don’t go hungry.

Think of this place as a country version of Shoney’s. It was so nice to walk in and see a full breakfast buffet on a Thursday morning. The coffee was great. There was no crowd whatsoever. Everything tasted wonderful especially the French toast sticks. Two thumbs up.

My wife and I went out to try something new to us. We drove by this place and we’re intrigued. We looked it up on their website. The variety was so broad, we had to turn around. We went in during lunch time and we were seated immediately. No wait! Upon sitting down, our waitress promptly was there to get our drinks. We got our drinks in perfect time to think about what we wanted to order. Less than 10 minutes later, lunch was served!

The atmosphere is very nice & everyone is very friendly. We were a party of 6 coming for a late lunch at 1:30. One person in our party received her food in just under an hour wait, while the rest of us received our food an hour & 15 minutes later. We had a sweet waitress, not sure what happened to our orders. The food was pretty good. They use liquid smoke in their green beans, an unusual recipe for greens that did not include ham but it tasted fresh, the hamburger steak did not include gravy, the grilled chicken was good & the chicken Alfredo was good & a large portion. The manager gave us a dessert to try to make up for our food being late. Too bad for us being on a diet & very late for our next destination. The restaurant is new so maybe we were an unusual case getting our food so late. I would recommend visiting and trying it!

We stopped here tonight as we’re traveling to North Carolina. We were greeted by very friendly staff. We had the meatloaf dinner & chicken parm dinner. Generous portions & delicious. Many options for sides. The meatloaf was homemade. Our waitress was nice & was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. Dessert options looked amazing if you still have room. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Tried The Fiddler at the recommendation of the front desk clerk at our hotel. Restaurant appeared to be an old Shoney’s that was redecorated to a nice country style local establishment. We were seated right away, but you could tell staff was a little shorthanded as many places are during these insane times. We’re all placed our orders and were served promptly except for one of our party. She ordered an Italian sub while the rest of us ordered cooked meals. The sub took a little too long to come out, so we were almost halfway through our meals before hers arrived. The food was pretty good. Service could have been better, and the atmosphere was okay. I was never a big Shoney’s fan, and this reminded me of that type of restaurant.

Excellent service wide variety of food choices. Reasonably priced great atmosphere. Staff are courteous polite. Great home cooking gift shop has a wide variety of things to choose from. I don’t want to miss this place Fiddlers restaurant.

Had dessert on Saturday night. It was excellent. The Waiter was young and inexperienced, but was very pleasant and tried hard. Had breakfast on Sunday morning. Waitresses was experienced and very helpful and bubbly, especially for 7:30am. Food on the buffet was great. Pictures included. Decor was fun. The place was clean and friendly.

Labor Day weekend. Big crowds with a little bit of a wait but the food was delicious. The 9oz sirloin, grilled chicken & brisket were seasoned well and tender. The salad bar had a great selection. The waiter Dylan was very attentive & courteous. We will be back when in the area. Definitely worth the wait!
