I came here for lunch and a . The patty melt was hot and fresh. The ice cream was delicious. If you’ve never been here, be prepared because the sundaes run about $20. They are massive, though, for the price. Fentons is a nice treat and conveniently located in the nut tree shopping mall in vacaville.

I’ve passed by this place a few times in the past few years, but I just made it inside. I ordered two ice cream scoops: green tea and mocha Royal, which is coffee and chocolate chips. The portion was humongous, and it came with two chocolate cookies. The green tea tastes like nothing. Whatever they added to make the color green, it’s not tea. Maybe there’s green tea in the ingredients, but the food coloring made it green, certainly not the tea. The green tea ice cream also has a powdery texture that I could feel it on my tongue with every spoon. This residue could be the powdered green tea leaves. If that’s the case, it must have been really bad quality green tea or expired (old) green tea fannings (dust).

We came for Saturday night dinner. This is the busiest restaurant I’ve eaten at. It is super popular! The tables were constantly full inside and outside. The staff are hustling yet still very friendly.

The only reason it’s 3 stars is because the air conditioning wasn’t working and it was 108 outside. Fenton’s needs to do better. Their staff was working their tails off looking deflated from the heat. Yeah, we were cooler than outside but that’s ridiculous.

Had a craving for a crab louie and found that Fentons creamery had one in their menu and took a chance. I was pleasantly suprised salad was loaded with eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes avacado and lots of crab. The large salad cost 28.00, but I have paid lots more for less salad in most other places. Service was great staff friendly.

We went there for dinner around 5:45 pm. We looked menu for like 30 mins, nobody came to take our order. Finally somebody came and just said she will take an order, i guess restaurant was busy so she went serving other customers. We saw some other customers were being serve those who even came after us. 15 mins after more we requested another server to take an order. We had 8 orders but we got only 7 orders. One order was missing.

The ice cream itself is top notch 10/10. However don’t eat a actual meal there. Everything is mediocre at best. The crab melt sandwich is the biggest let down. They melt the cheese on a lightly toast roll and scoop cold crab meat. Just stick to the ice cream here.
