My husband and I ate here 7/23/23 between 1:00-2:30pm. When we got there my husband and I were greeted by host Rhine. He welcomed us both into the restaurant with a smile. Once he took us to the table my husband could not sit in the booth for his size. Rhine immediately went to speak to his manager Ashley for us to sit comfortably. It was in an area that is normally closed. Our server Belynda greeted us very nice and took very great care of us from ordering our food until leaving to get back on road to head home. Before leaving I asked to speak to manager Ashley who was very welcoming and told her how great we were treated by host Rhine and server Belynda. Everyone was very nice and said have safe travels home bring concerned about us. I would recommend anyone to stop and eat here. Great atmosphere along with the good bread with butter and service. A+ all day long.

I visited FATZ on June 30th. The server was nice and friendly. All of the meat was seasoned very well and the bread was so good! The bread with the sauce tasted like funnel cakes / elephant ears from the fair it was the best part of the visit . I went in their restroom and was surprised at how good it smelled and clean it was.

Was visiting from Texas and asked the hotel manager where a “good” place to eat was. They recommended Fatz.

The food is not bad, but i wonder if a little bit of time would make it better. The place was definitely run, carpet was dirty and dingy bathroom was………yeah. the server, though, was the sweetest young girl, and she was very attentive. She explained the menu and even attempted to shield my wife, who has allergies.

Awful. Took an hour and a half and still didn’t have our food. We ordered straight off the menu. Nothing special ordered. It was all fried products, so just drop it in the grease for 7 min max. No idea why it took so long. No explanation from management. Corporate never responded to email. And they had no AC it was 95° they had the door propped open

It has been years since eating at Fatz and remembered it was good. When we walked in, there was a fan blowing on the greeter because the A/C is barely working. It was extremely hot in the dining room. I was ready to leave but everyone else said let’s just tough it out. The carpet is old and a lot of the interior looks really worn out. Time for a remodel. Also tried to order the pulled pork sandwich and was told we haven’t had that in a long time. Maybe they should take it off the menu and not include it in the choice of what we would recommend in this review. Food we ordered was good but couldn’t get past the sweat box of a dining room. I will not return.

A most enjoyable lunch! Their Calabash Chicken is very tasty. And that basket of bread that they put on the table once you’re seated is delicious! They have the taste & consistency of donuts, and the honey butter makes them taste even better.

Our server was very nice. We ordered drinks and an appetizer to keep the toddlers happy. When it was time to order our food, we struck out four times because the kitchen was out of just about everything. I settled for the calabash shrimp basket. The shrimp were the size of corn kernels. It was not good.

I would definitely stop here again if we find ourselves in South Carolina. The portions were huge, everything was delicious, and those mini rolls with honey butter were perfection. Service was a little slow, but I think they are probably short handed like everyone these days so I don’t fault them for that. Our waitress was very nice and right on top of refills.

Food was absolutely horrible. Their Dang Good Fries was not cooked and had greese dripping from them. Pork sandwich was dripping in sauce. You could not taste anything but sauce. My friend’s Chicken Pot Pie was a joke. Canned would have been better. As for service, the young lady waiting on us was bored out of her mind and let it show. We asked for ranch for the fries and she walked off and never returned. The manager comped our meal without an apology and told us we were “free to leave”. Won’t be back and that was my favorite place to eat on the way to Columbia.
