Solid place. We opted for both The boards on the menu and also ordered sticky rice. All food was good and they gave you a decent amount to sample. We chose to eat on the rooftop dining area.

We paid for parking in a lot across the street and got there when they opened and didn’t have a reservation. We were immediately greeted and seated upstairs, right near the bar. We had a view of Roman Catholic School and the highway.

Unique cocktails, did not love the food for the price. I had the Bai, Bai, Bai cocktail. It was refreshing and creative. Taste was slightly off to me, but my fiance loved it. We had the Harmony board that is all over social media. While it looked cool, it tasted like fried fast food, or something that came from the frozen aisle of the supermarket. It left both my fiance and I feeling gross as it was far too much grease and no vegetables, other than the very small and wilted bok choy. It even came with fries, which tasted similar to any local fast food joint. It was most definitely not worth the price and did not feel like a meal for two people.

Friendly staff, amazing food, great rooftop!! Lovely place for Sunday brunch in the summer. Our table of three split the brunch board and it was the perfect amount of food and there is so much variety in flavors/textures. Need to come back to try the rest of the menu!

The staff is supper nice and friendly. I love Chinese vegetarian cooking, so flavorful. That shitake bowl over rise is splendid. Taro fries, first time having them fried and the seasoning and sauce is full of flavor.

We had a great experience dining at Far East Descendant’s take on contemporary Cantonese cuisine. All of the typical favourites were captured on their menu with their own personal twist… From Cha-Siu Beef, Shrimp on toast, Soft Shelled crab, and Iron Shirt Pork Belly on rice!!!

FED, located slightly west of central Chinatown has been on the bucket list for a minute since I saw it about a year ago. It was a beautiful evening to sit in the rooftop area, with a good view of the Vine street expressway (thanks postwar city planners). The mule I got was a little heavy in the pour, which is good for some but unfortunately made for a one note drink a little too early on a Wednesday evening. Our table got one of the large platters, which had a good assortment with a size-able amount of food to share. Some pieces were great, others were a slight miss but may be down to preference. Noteworthy was the pork belly, which was equal parts succulent pork and crispy pork rind. The Cha-siu beef was tender and well dressed; the taro fries were a great take on a classic fry and offered something different, and there were a ton of them. Overall I’d recommend FED. Next time, might just order some of the hits and pass on the misses.

We did the Beast Board and it was fantastic. Everything on there was just delicious. And drinks, dang….the drinks! They are creative, not overdone, and so tasty. The vibe upstairs was great too — good music, good king fu flick, and a nice view. Check this place out…well worth it!

Beautiful restaurant, super cool decorations. Food takes a bit to arrive including appetizers. The price point seemed pretty steep for items that you could get from Canto restaurants in Chinatown (i.e, $23 rice bowl). Small portions. The board below was $88.
