Since opening me and my co workers have spent hundreds of dollars here, burgers are good I’ll give them that. They give locals discounts over the counter if you ask for one but on my second to last visit they refused to give me a discount because I didn’t ask for it When I placed my order via phone on this recent visit I made sure and asked for the locals discount when I called. The guy said i couldn’t ask for it by phone only in person so they contradicted themselves. When I arrived the guy said it was a privilege to get the discount!!! Really it’s a privilege to get 2 dollars off ? Anyway I proceeded to show him that on the last order I had placed I was overcharged 2 dollars because I had ordered truffle fries and received regular fries. I showed him a pic to prove my point. So instead he said to have a good day and refused to give me my food. I would have told him F off but my co workers lunch was part of the order so I simply asked him if he was not going to give me my food because I showed him a wrong order? So then he gave me my food, I payed and walked away. I work at two very respectable hotels here in Vail and I assure you I will never eat here again nor will my coworkers and guest at the hotels I work at. I will go out of my way to make sure none of my guest eat here. It’s a privilege that Me and my coworkers and guest choose to buy your food not the other way around. Been around food service for years. You’d think a place like Vail would have a legit burger joint at the base but it does not. If you are looking for a thick juicy burger DONT go here. The patties are slim and dry and leave you unsatisfied, sure you could get a double or single to compensate for 5 more dollars but I’d rather go to Garfinkels the nearby bar and spend the same amount and leave a lot happier.

Came here based on the good reviews, but our first impression leaves much to be desired. There was only one person in the place when we walked in, yet the employees were too busy to greet us for five straight minutes. Not even a glance in our direction. When she finally walked up to the register, she just half smiled and leaned her elbows on the counter, clearly bored with us. No greeting, no “Can I help you”. She just stared at me. Awkward. I sure hope the food is good.

Paid 22$ for a single patty burger (No bun) parmesan truffle fries and a fountain drink. Got back to the lodge and found out they gave me regular fries. Went back. Argued with me at first till I showed him the receipt. No apology no refunds. Just had to wait again. Now I’m eating parmesan truffle fries and a cold burger.

Place is pricey but that’s expected of a place in such a touristy location. Burgers are actually pretty good but nothing outstanding, only downside is the amount of grease in these burgers (but it does make it taste good!)

Excellent fries. Bun was delicious. Meat was salty and WAY undercooked. Like, it was mooing. Didn’t finish the meal.
