The food was excellent, I absolutely love this place. I never had cornbread bread pudding before. That was the best dessert I had in a long time. All the food is fresh. Love love love this place

This was my 2nd visit. The 1st visit was to celebrate my 40th last year and it was NOT a good experience. However, I gave it another try. The atmosphere was wonderful. I think the food is overpriced. I had chicken wings, shrimp Mac n cheese, greens, cornbread and 1 cocktail, My guest had steak, mash potatoes, greens, shrimp Mac n cheese and 1 cocktail. Our bill was $120 with a $20 gratuity. I have honestly had much better for less. It’s glorified soul food at upscale prices. The greens weren’t seasoned, the wings were huge, undercooked and not very tasty.. However, the shrimp Mac was delicious. I like this restaurant but it’s something funky about how they charge. Also, I didn’t get the earlybird 15% discount. This meal was worth $60 total at best and I paid $140 after fees and additional charges. I would only return if invited by someone but I wouldn’t reserve here again. This is only my honest opinion The staff were friendly and service was great.

Our party drove almost an hour to try this restaurant. It was not worth my drive or time. The chicken was burnt. At least 5 ppl out of our party of 9 ordered chicken and it was all burnt. I asked for lamb chops and they were out of it. I tried eating the chicken since it was almost $30. And I just could not finish it. I was asked by the waitress why I didn’t finish it. She said you didn’t like it and I stated no. She stated joking “I just work here.”Prior to arriving, everyone in our party was told to pay 22 dollars to reserve a seat and it would be added to our bill. It was not subtracted and told us that we can separate the bills and she would take off the $20. Everyone paid with credit/debit cards and the funds were subtracted off of their bill. I gave her $100 for my bill and she didn’t subtract the funds until I told her. She had the nerve to say well you guys did go over on the gift card but I’ll give you this 20 I have in my pocket. Excuse me how did we go over and we had a person missing in our party. If anything we would be under, so were you trying to keep my money after everyone at the table already paid you gratuity. All of our gratuity was over $8. The only thing I liked was the DJ, he was a vibe.

Ethel Maes was EVERYTHING.I’m from St. Louis and when I say by the time I left this establishment I was wishing we had something to compare to back home. The vibe was beautiful. Nice, open clean restaurant. Plenty of seating. The staff is beautiful. Every last one of the folks I met were kind, respectful and more. Friday night had the DJ/MC going with a mix of new and older hits. But the food was a real experience. Turkey legs, greens, yams, seafood mac, fried gizzards and lamb chops. Was not a fan of the dirty rice. With everything else they did not miss a beat. The drinks were A+++The flavor of everything was delicious. I left this place feeling good about the money I spent. I will be back and definitely recommend.

Best Restaurant I’ve been to that actually taste like grandma cooking. The good is amazing. The atmosphere was excellent. The owner, waiters, host was all so warming to make you feel like family and special. So much to say about this place but everyone need to find out for themselves. You won’t be disappointed. BOMB PERIODTTTTT!!! MY 1ST TIME GOING HERE I MADE RESERVATIONS WHICH I THOUGHT WAS BEST BECAUSE OF THE HRS OF OPERATIONS. THE OWNER CAME AND INTRODUCED HERSELF AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS GOOD AND IT WAS YESSSSS THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I HAD THE LAMB CHOPS WITH GREENS AND FOR MY APPETIZER I HAD THE EGG ROLLS AND FOR DESERT THE BREAD PUDDING OH MY GOODNESS THE TASTE WAS OFF THE CHAIN IT WAS LIKE NO OTHER I HAVE EVER TASTED. THE AMBIENCE WAS LOVELY WITH MUSIC HAD A LIL OF OLE SCHOOL MIXED IN WITH NEW SCHOOL SO GET READY TO JIG (DANCE)A LIL BIT AND SING. AAAYYYEEEE I’LL BE BACK FOR BRUNCH FO SHO. The chicken and waffles were FINE!! Best waffles I’ve ever had! My friend had the boudin balls and greens as a side and said they were both the best she’s ever had. I tried 2 different flavors of mimosas, and they were also delicious. I’ll definitely be back!! Yum!

This restaurant was amazing!! I loved everything about it, the food was a 10/10. I got the ribeye with a side of Mac and cheese, the steak was so flavorful and juicy and the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese was sooo good. The vibes were definitely there, the DJ was great. It was just a really fun environment with great music. I will definitely be coming back, my new favorite restaurant in Tupelo!
