Picked this restaurant out of the listings online for a speedy meet-up. The decor is clean, it’s more of a low-key feel (lots of pictures of their dogs on the walls, etc.). Definitely a relaxed atmosphere. The service was great – the waitress was quick with taking our orders, the food came out in a timely manner, and we were constantly receiving refills on our drinks. We wound up staying past their closing time, wrapped up in conversation; the waitress said not to worry, that it looked like our conversation was great and she was happy to work around us until we were ready to leave. The food was AMAZING – not what I was expecting to receive for such a reasonable price. We had two black bean burger versions of some of their popular burger listings (Hornet; Mushroom Swiss), and an order of fish and chips. Everyone was FULL and happy.

First time visitors and “just happened” to stop! So glad we did and will most certainly return. Food was delicious, young lady waiting tables (all of them!) was very efficient, friendly and fun. Restaurant (and restrooms) were nice and clean. LOVED all the dog photos with focus on Paws For The Cure”.

Nice classic restaurant. There is a grass-fed option for the burgers. In the summer there is dog friendly outdoor seating and they will even bring water for Fido.

This place was a big disappoint, food was awful, staff was very rude and honestly I am not sure how they are staying open. Prices were way to high as well. Firebird Cafe is almost better then this place. Sorry people, just being honest!

I have been eating here for over 10 years. If you’d like a bit of ‘local flavor’ you won’t do better! Nothing fancy, just good basic meals…

Tasty food, quick, locally owned, affordable. No schlocky chain restaurant gimmicks or promotions or “flair”. Couldn’t ask for more. Love the “Essex Burger”…

Showed up at 11:30, was offered a breakfast menu and told they do not offer a lunch menu until 12. I had a party of 7 total. Lost sale. Won’t be back.
