First time visitor. Place was clean and the staff was friendly. Tried three empanadas – yellow curry, mushroom and cheese, and spinach and artichoke. All three were very tasty and hearty! Mushroom and cheese was my favorite and look forward to trying other flavors and the salad bar next time. Welcome to Biloxi, Empanola!

Let me start by saying my parents are immigrants from Argentina and my mother made us empanadas all the time growing up. Our family owns our own empanada restaurant in Santa Barbara as well, so I am very familiar with this cuisine. I have to say this little spot was the MOST pleasant surprise!

The space is absolutely beautiful. I was a little disappointed that the young lady didn’t greet us with an eager, smiling face. She just sort of went about her tasks as we walked in and then just stood there while we eyeballed the menu. When we asked a question, she didn’t seem at all engaged and basically told us to look at the menu. The two gentleman working seemed very nice and one actually asked me if I needed help. That was slightly redeeming for the young lady’s lack of interest.

Probably the best mocha I’ve had in the area so far. The food was good but the servers seemed bothered by customers being there, not enough for me to knock it down because they were still quick and took care of everyone. They just seemed like they wanted the place to be empty instead of the 5 customers they had for lunch.

Today was my first time trying this interesting restaurant. The ambiance was welcoming and cozy. The three empanadas I tried were flavorful and fresh. The place was also spotless and very clean which is a plus. I will definitely return to try more menu items.
