We picked up takeout for the first time and may just make every week Fiesta Friday. Ordered fajitas and they were ready super quickly, was delicious/portion fed both of us and then some and staff were super friendly. If you want guacamole for chips we suggest ordering extra sides or telling them you want a bigger portion… can’t have enough guac. Thanks and we will be repeat customers.

We really loved this Mexican restaurant! The chips and salsa were A+, the steak fajitas were the best I have had in a long time, the service was great. Attentive and kind. Would recommend and would definitely come back.

Fantastic food and waitstaff! It is such a great value for the food and its absolutely delicious. My girlfriend and I have gone twice now and both experiences were flawless. Clint (aka C.J.) is very nice, prompt, and attentive. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great variety of Mexican fare at a very reasonable price with a pleasant atmosphere!

Been here twice in the past month and have left both times very impressed and satisfied. Food is awesome and comes out extremely fast. The veggie fajitas are only $12.99 and could pass for two meals, that’s how much value you get. In addition, the service is exceptional! CJ was attentive, friendly, and a hard worker. I would recommend El Ranchero to anyone looking for a delicious meal in the Petoskey area! P.S. I wish my house could be decorated like the restaurant – what amazing and vibrant decor.

Stopped in to have a burrito and a beer. Ask the server in the bar area about the Burrito Loco he seemed like he became offended, I don’t know anything about it I don’t know what that is. Said that was the other place that used to own this, they’re down the street. I asked if they had a burrito that was comparable to the burrito loco and he acted like he didn’t want to even talk about it said well you can look at these burritos and see which one you would like. after deciding not to have anything and just drink my beer he quickly checked me out and said oh if you want anything else just let me know. Very arrogant. I’ve been in this place several times and the staff was great don’t know if he was having a bad day but don’t take it out on your paying customers.

Went here for a quick bite. Was concerned as signs posted inside warned of short staff and asked for patience with servers. Was very impressed with our server, he had several tables working and was quick, efficient, very polite and proactive with refills and asking if all was good! He was probably the best server we had in a long time. To make it even better the food came quickly, accurately, and screaming hot! Well done El Ranchero staff! Thank you!
