The tacos here are great! The pastor & carne asada tacos are delicious! It gets busy on Tuesday, so there’s some wait time, the staff are friendly, if you don’t know any Spanish though, it takes a lil longer, they ate respectful & courteous. There’s a video music channel playing mariachi and gives the place a Fiesta atmosphere. This is great!!

Nice spot if your grabbing a quick meal on the go. Convenient and fast tasty and good quality tacos. Seen a couple transients in there which made it uncomfortable a couple hanging out in the back charging devices I ate a.couple bite and left. The salsa bar is awkward to use hard to slump or slouch to get items feels painful. Lol

I liked it a lot the first time I came but I don’t know if that was because it was New Year’s and I was drinking or I was just really hungry because I was drinking. But for some reason the taste doesn’t match up to the first day I had it. Still a good place though. Maybe it’s just me.

I had seen this place on Instagram, so we went to check it out. Once we arrived, i was impressed with how well the restaurant was maintained. The staff were really nice despite it being somewhat late at night, and it didn’t take long for our order to be completed. The food has been some of the best I’ve had in a while (especially their torta) and at a very reasonable price. Im a big agua de jamaica fan, and that’s probably my only con because at first, it tastes good and then has like an artificial aftertaste, but it’s really not that big of a deal , overall this establishment is one of my new favorite places to get Mexican food.

Haven’t had El Nuevo Taquito since I was a kid. I have a close friend who keeps telling me that this is his go to spot……and he is right! Today we ventured down to the South side to try it out. Now I haven’t been down Central Ave. for many years. The light rail construction has Central confined to one lane weaving left to right. So be prepared for a little traffic (this will probably go on for another year). So I get to where I thought Nuevo Taquito was and it has since moved. It is now about a half mile further south in a larger restaurant. You walk in and it’s a no frills restaurant with an extensive menu on the wall. The prices have gone up over the years but that can be expected of any restaurant now a days. Me and my wife both ordered combination plates that were about $12 each. You get a meat of your choice, rice, beans and tortillas (corn or flour). I had my favorite carne asada and she had her favorite carnitas. We were both blown away my the portions and the great taste of the food. I almost didn’t finish my plate and she had enough left over for tomorrow’s lunch. It’s worth the drive and the traffic entanglements .

We love this place, this food is always consistent and delicious. The Carne asada, torta de asada and taco dorados are go to plates. We enjoy the Salsa bar, especially the red salsa and pickled carrots. I’m glad they finally remolded the inside of the restaurant, it looks great.

I had High hopes about this restaurant. We ordered a Carne asada Burrito, Coctel De Camarones, a side of beans amd chips amd salsa. The Carne Asada burrito wss good but small. Just a little Larger then the frozen burritos one can buy in the freezer section in the grocery isle. At $9.50 it was a little lean… The chips were made fresh, but one has to add salt to them because they are served unsalted. The salsa was so watery and no flavor that at 1st I thought it was soup broth. We just threw it away because there was no salvaging it. The coctel de camarones came in a huge 32 oz container for $13. But when I went to eat it. It was mostly watered down tomato juice with 6 medium shrimp and was very bland. dumped the juice to see how much stuff was in it. And will attach a picture so you can see what I mean. I wanted to give this place a 2 rating but gave it a 3 because of how friendly and professional the employees are. If you want super bland over priced food, then go here.
