Watch your receipt! Times must be tough! One server in particular has attempted to way over charge me 5 times! He will flat out lie and say you ordered a larger size or additional toppings. Charge you for a jumbo drink when you order a small. He will consistently do anything he can to increase the bill. On this occasion I wanted the nachos. The waiter said quickly, “chicken, cheese, and jalapenos?” I said yes, because that’s what comes on it. He then charged me for double chicken cheese and jalapenos and jumbo drinks I never ordered. He told me you shouldn’t have said you wanted chicken cheese and jalapenos. For the jumbo drinks he just shrugged his shoulders. The manager was upset when I mentioned this to him and could care less. Said I was yelling when I was just explaining myself. Please don’t ever hand them your card without first checking the receipt. I personally will never be back I don’t need the hassle. Tallahassee has many wonderful Mexican restaurants and quite frankly higher quality food and service.

El Jalisco’s Kerry Forest location was awesome today, both with service and with the food being delicious!!! It’s a little further drive for us than the other location that we used to go to, but so well worth it! Our waitress, Dinora was so wonderful! We did not have to wait long or ask anyone else for anything. Very happy with our visit here!

El Jalisco is great! This location burned through its restaurants until El Jalisco showed up. The food atmosphere make this one of the staples of our eating out or take out locations. They add new items to the menu from time to time, like the Fluffy Tacos!

My mother loves Mexican food. She was excited to see there was an El Jalisco right down the road on Kerry Forrest. First few visits the food was alright but our last visit it was sub-par. I’m in the industry and know some days can be bad but the service has been cold and off- putting every time. The servers made us feel we were intruding on their time and were inpatient when we asked questions. We will try another Mexican restaurant when I visit next. Just disappointing.

I have been eating here for years, and have no complaints about the food. The bartender gave himself an extra tip on my card after I had tipped in cash. I didn’t realize until after the charge updated in my account that he gave himself 6 more dollars. I watched him put his cash tip in his pocket after I gave it to him so I know he got it. This is unacceptable . I do love the food and will return but I am very disappointed.
