Usually have the best subs and experience at this location, the only one I’d eat at but TODAY we ordered 2 Turkey and cheese subs, there is literally one piece of meat on the sandwich. ONE. And no sincere apology to fix it just nonchalant ok. Also had to drive to take the subs back to get my money back. Please see photo. Never again.

I haven’t ever been to this location, and my experience was fabulous, the service was very fast & they made my sub just as I asked for, extra toasty,extra oil& vinegar, with out onions, with pepper relish on the side. I am working near this location and since they did a great job on making my sub my way I’m going back tomorrow. Keep up the great SERVICE !!!!!!!

The staff are incredibly friendly and sweet but this location has been horribly neglected by management. The cielings tiles should’ve been replaced years ago, the AC was broken and is weeks from being replaced apparently, the entire establishment needs a restoration or to close down because the food is even suffering. Everything taste as stale as the condition of the restaurant unfortunately.

FINALLY found a Zero’s that makes a grub steak and cheese like they did in the 70’s! I have been to 99% of the Zero’s is Hampton Roads, 90% of which I wouldn’t waste my money on! This Zero’s food, staff & atmosphere are the BEST! And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to talk to Sparkle! She treats this store like she OWNS it! So happy, friendly & helpful! This Zero’s is located in an old strip of shops on Va Beach Blvd right next to I64. It can be kind of hidden due to the hug big box pharmacy in the parking lot however the side road is Kempsville Road and you can enter the parking lot from there. It’s located fairly close to my doctor’s office and often times after an appointment, especially if I’ve been fasting, I tend to head over here as soon as I’m through with the doctor.
This location has been open for many years and you can definitely see the look of a bygone era when you walk inside. The color of the walls is an old dull green and reminds me of a hospital hallway back in the 70’s. Don’t let that dissuade you, they make a mean sub in this little hole in the wall. Typically I’ll pick up a Club Sub however everything I’ve had here from a grub steak, meatball or a regular turkey sub has been delicious.
Prices are fair and you can get a full sub lunch combo for about $10 or half sub in a lunch combo as well. Everything is made fresh and and toasted in the oven right in front of you. Check them out, you’ll be gad you did.

The staff are what make this place. Every staff member I have encountered have been extremely friendly & courteous. I even came in one evening right before closing and they were happy to take my order even though I knew they were ready to head home and were working on cleaning the grill and the store. Staff really act like they enjoy their job & that is saying something these days!! Highly recommend. Check out their daily specials too! Makayla is a real delight. I typically come in exhausted after work and borderline “hangry”, but I always leave with a smile. Thanks Makayla for always making my day when I stop in!!!
