This place used to be really good, but it seems to have gone downhill. We picked it up and the guacamole was obviously old, the chips were stale, the onions on my fajita burrito were burned to a crisp, and one of the tomatoes had the top of the core on it. We probably won’t order again.

Absolutely amazing. My wife and I went here for our first date and every time we come to Topeka we always stop here because they are the best food and very reasonable for your wallet. The service has always been good and the food has always surpassed my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Mexican food and doesn’t want to spend a lot of money. Its worth every dollar.

Excellent choice. This is our 4th visit ( all good) and just had to review this time. Lunchtime on a Sunday was very busy, however, we were seated within just a few minutes. Chips and salsa were fresh, drink order taken promptly. Although it seemed only two wait staff, both friendly and efficient, were in the dining area, orders and food delivery was prompt. Food arrived hot, in a generous portion and delicious. We had the Enchiladas Jalisco, Burrito Supremo, and 3 a la carte beef tacos. Everything was tasty. Priced reasonably, we will definitely be returning.

I’m a picky eater and I absolutely love El Gallo. The food is always made to perfection and the service is AMAZING. The owner puts her heart into every dish and you can taste the love and quality that goes into the food. Also there is a weekday lunchtime buffet that is super affordable and all the selections are beyond tasty.

The food was fantastic, but the service wasn’t great….they dropped off food, and left….the food was boiling, still on the plate when they handed it to me…..waitress didn’t ever check on us to see about drink refills or anything else. Food was good, very good, large portions, but service was not great.

I always get the best service, food is fast to the table, hot & delicious. I love their Pico Degallo, & cheese dip! Staff is friendly & always checking on you, for other needs.
