If I could give no star I would of but you have to click at least one star to give a review.Been going here for over 5 years , my work is over 15 minutes away , it use to worth the drive for the food but today was a waste of time, I usually buy two burritos one for lunch and one for dinner because they close at 2 pm. First of all the wife which is owner was so rude when I had ask about an employee she got really rude with I don’t know where she is, I just about went off on the old lady but I held my tongue. The burritos I got both sucked no flavor and they forgot my chili in the bag, but quick to take your money. Without Lucy there working the place has gone down . There are better burritos out here beside this mom and pop shop.

Great food without a doubt but the elderly Spanish lady (maybe owns) the place is very rude the first time I visited there she was rude I blew it off because I don’t be rude to people who makes my food ( you never know what they can do). Also last time she wore gloves before preparing my burrito. But today when I walk in she asked me how many burritos I clearly said two please. She go “five” I said no two sage says five again. Then as she asking what I want I told her three sides that I wanted she looked at me as if I said something wrong then I repeated it . She literally yells with a attitude “What”! So I’m thinking to myself yea she really is rude . Then she makes the food and not even looking at me say they’ll help you down there. I’m not know who she’s talking about . I then see her wrap my food and literally throws It in the bag. I just told her to have a blessed day! I don’t know if she might have just be prejudices against African Americans because she did not treat the others (Hispanic) customers behind me like that her husband on the other end was very generous and kind . Sad to say much as enjoyed their food I will not be visiting them anymore nobody should be treated that way BLACK, WHITE, GREEN, OR PURPLE . She just was very rude and unprofessional. Back to Polly’s down the street I go at least they treat people with respect. Being kind to people goes a long way even if they had bad food if your customer service is right people will acknowledge that !

Good food. Not a lot of selection but that is good in a way so they can serve you fast. Very homey feel. The workers whom I believe are the owners are very nice. They make you feel welcomed and appreciated. The man gave me a cookie mid way through eating. It was almost like you were a visitor in his home and he gave you a cookie which was very nice and made me feel extremely welcomed to the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Some of the biggest burritos you’ll find in Lubbock. The owner is usually there actually working. Hard to find that these days. His employees are some of the kindest individuals to deal with. Kind of high priced, but for the size you are getting, it is well worth it. Carne guisada with rice beans and cheese is my top pick. Carne picada with beans and cheese is my second choice. He serves breakfast and lunch.

Hands down the BEST place in Lubbock to enjoy a carne guisada burrito! You also get chips and some awesome salsa with each burrito ordered. Definitely recommended if you’ve never visited.
