Found this spot on google. Stopped by for a birthday cake. Got a delicious piña & guava cake that was fantastic. Service was good. Prices were reasonable however based upon the way you decorated the cake “Happy birthday” couldn’t be written on it so therefore I was offered a decorative happy birthday stick to place into the cake for $3.00. In my opinion this should be free as you could not write Happy Birthday on the cake. Customer should not be charged for this. With this being said I will still return in future because I did enjoy the cake.

This is definitely not Puerto Rican first of all Puerto Ricans don’t make potatoes like that ! Even the bacon tastes weird !the coffee is Cuban ! It wasn’t prepared how I asked for it.!! Ugh such a disappointment

Love this place! Great Puerto Rican sweets, flans, cakes and more. The coffee is so delicious! Not butter, very well balanced in flavor. I bought a Halloween cake and well designed. The flavors brought me back to the Valencia Bakery in Manhattan from when I grew up there in the 70s through the 90s. The flan – excellent! The empanadas, the croquettes, sugar cookies, bagels, egg sandwiches and more…so good!! If you’re in the area, please go. If you’re like me and will drive for great food then make sure to add El Coqui to your list of places to frequent often.

The food was pretty good, the tripleta definitely needed mayoketchup on it. And for the meat to be cut up and not just a big chunk of meat on it. But overall was pretty good, coffee was tasty. And the breakfast potatoes were delicious

Best bakery in the state! Great cakes, great service. Friendly staff, the sandwiches are great, coffee is good, and with tons of drink choices, desert choices, and mid-day snacks, what’s not to love? Certainly my favorite place to quickly grab a bite to eat, and cakes for special events. I’ll certainly be back, and often.

I walked past this bakery and had to stop in and check this place out. Oh my goodness! My daughter and I got milkshakes (mango and Pina colada) they were perfect consistency and the flavors were spectacular. We also picked up a tres leches and it was the best I have ever had, creamy and rich. Love this place and glad I was lucky enough to walk by, I will be going back, often!
