Great bar and grill in the Excelsior Springs area. Tried the Buffalo Cauliflower bites (had a good kick to them) and the Green Bean appetizer, both of which came out quick and hot.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. The atmosphere was great! Very neat building and decor. Food was typical bar type food. It came quickly and the waitress made some good recommendations. We got pretzel sticks and a build your own pizza . The beer cheese and spicy mustard with the pretzel was good. The pizza was a crispy pizza. We didn’t take advantage of the brewery.

On a possative 1st. Our server was very nice & accommodating. The decore was upbeat and clean. The pizzas others ate looked great! Our beer cheese was bad bland. It was tasted like powdered chedar. Unlike any I have ever tasted before. The portions on the cheese were good! Our pretzels were/ tasted burnt. Over priced on them. Unforchantly a Sonic pretzel is way better. The pasta dish lacked flavor. I hear that there beer selection is good. We WON’T go back. Dont let it stop you from checking them out. Pizza looked amazing. Everyone’s tastes vary and we did not try the drinks. You may enjoy them

The food and the beer were really good! I had the Hawaiian Pizza (minus onion) and it was fantastic! My wife had the Taco Pizza, my daughter had a Pepperoni and Italian Sausage, and my son had just a Pepperoni Pizza…and they all loved theirs. The staff was very good as was the service! I would absolutely recommend Dubious Claims!

I enjoy the look of this bar. However, dinner for 3 was a total bust. The toppings on the pizza were sparse at best. Our waiter didn’t seem the least bit interested in taking care of us. It was a Friday night and there were 6 people in the bar. It was really disappointing.

We stopped in for our anniversary to try the beer and have lunch before going next door. We had never been in before so we had zero knowledge of the profiles of the brews, however we weren’t offered any samples, flights, or suggestions (I’ve been a brew pub server in the past, not offering ANYTHING to a new customer, is just odd). We waited 15 minutes to get our appetizer, which was good but not worth $12.00. We drank our beers and waited, and waited, and waited for our meal. After 30 minutes with no sandwiches we just asked for to go boxes and our check, since we were already 10 min late for our paid reservation next door. We got the check and the to go boxes but our meals didn’t come out, until my husband went to the bar and spoke with the bartender. I’ve NEVER spent that kind of money on that quality or quantity of food. $60.00 for two beers, a pretzel app and two sandwiches. Dubious Claims will NOT be in our date night rotation and CERTAINLY will never waste an anniversary or special occasion there again.

OMG first time here, Our waitress Mallory was so awesome with helping us with drinks and the menu, I wanted a different Old Fashioned and the Bartender Lauren made to order a very different Old Fashioned that was amazing. Remember to tip well, they deserve it ❤✌ Be back soon.

I had a bad experience with the food the prices were quite high for the chicken wings we had got. It was $18 for 8 chicken wings including the drink and they were not the best. The lasagna was watery and tasted like it was microwaved. Our stomachs are unsettled.
