If you haven’t been to a Din Tai Fung, I definitely recommend it. It’s a great food experience. So many great food options. I’d highly suggest giving it a try. The green beans are a must, they are so good. I’d also recommend the spicy chicken wontons. Then try a few things, I tried the truffle pork dumplings. They were really good. It’s a great experience eating here.

This chain restaurant is famous. We arrived at 4:30pm on Sunday, and we still need to wait an hour.

The hype is real. Don’t need to say much more than that. You can read the thousands of other reviews and plan what you want to order. The green beans are as good as everyone says. Full of flavor. Everything else was just drool worthy. This was my very first time. I was a Din Tai Fung virgin and now I will be back every chance I get. In case you aren’t aware, reservations are a must. From what I understand, they are ALWAYS busy. The only reason I took one star off for atmosphere, was because so many people are packed into the restaurant, and it was quite warm and a bit stuffy. Also, I loved our waiter. He was great!

We’ve been coming here for a couple years now. We always take our family visiting from outside of town to this place, and everyone seemed to enjoy having meals here. The vibe is chill, the service is good, the space is appropriate for family lunch/dinner. Please make sure you make reservations ahead especially on weekends. The wait can be long (up to 1 hour sometimes). You can see the staff making the Xiao Long Bao (dumplings) when you check in, it’s pretty cool to watch.

You should definitely try the ginger soaked in soy sauce at Din Tai Fung. The ginger is served on a small plate for everyone to enjoy, while the soy sauce is already provided on the table. We ordered several dishes including fried rice, chicken dim sum, and beans, and it was hands down the best food I’ve ever had. Despite our impromptu decision to visit this Michelin star restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was no long wait. We were seated immediately and attended to by “Carlos”, he was attentive, informative and helpful and kindly explained the ordering process and recommended dishes based on our taste preferences since I was new to the city.

DTF? Yes yes and yes. So glad I got to try this place out ! I got to try some dim sum out in Vancouver Canada sooo this place had some big shoes to fill. I throughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed at the bar. Once you travel out to the main dining you really see how popular this place is. Service at the bar was exceptional ! Even though our waiter was in and out at the bar and the kitchen he always made sure we were taken cared of.

The food was delicious and came in a short while. There’s usually a long line to get in, if you’re a walk-in. I recommend reserving a table and showing up to meet your reservation.

Great environment for a family dinner. The soup dumplings were a bit disappointing given the portion and soupiness level. The bigger sized baos reminded me of the T&T deli buns lol. However, the side dishes more than made up for that. Wish this becomes available in Canada one day…

We were too lazy to dine in as it’s super busy on the weekends, but even ordering it for takeout, the food here is super yummy. Especially the spicy shrimp dumplings, I was thoroughly impressed. The green beans were decent, but could have been better.

Best vegan dumplings I’ve ever had. Still dreaming about them. The seaweed and bean curd salad was exceptional too – spicy and so flavorful. Excellent service – friendly, informative, and attentive. Will definitely be back!
