I recently visited Din Tai Fung with my friends and it was an amazing experience. The restaurant offers exceptional service from the friendly and knowledgeable staff, making everyone feel welcome. We highly recommend making reservations since the restaurant is so good that it has a bit of a wait time.

My nieces suprised me by taking me to eat at Din Tai Fung. I really enjoyed my food. The only issue i had with the service was waiting for our server to returned to check if we needed anything else. I had to ask someone else for a fork after waiting for a while. Other than that I enjoyed my food and my company. I will be returning next visit from Sacramento.

The wait is super long, took about 2 hours on a Saturday evening. We ordered too much food, my friends really enjoyed the soup dumpling and shrimp dumplings. The service is really good and the waitstaff are very friendly. The only downside is the long wait.

Just like in Taiwan, you gotta wait a long time if you don’t come early. Luckily you can shop and look around in the mall to kill time.

Always worth the wait. While Xiao Long Bao are great (especially pork ones), my favorites are Wontons. Spicy sauce is not very hot, but more fragrant and delicious. Honestly, there isn’t a dish that is bad. Quality is high and consistent throughout the menu, as well as multiple locations.

Only a 30 minute wait on a Sunday at 3pm was exciting & reasonable. The dining room service is very efficient. Photo menu available online or an english printed menu once you are seated. If you know what you like you can have your little order paper filled out before you even sit down. The food comes out quick but the quality is excellent. Best Xiao Long Bao anywhere. We ordered the BBQ pork baby back ribs as an appetizer, traditional pork soup dumplings, pork Shanghai rice cakes chicken wontons in spicy sauce and fish dumplings. It was more than enough for 2 people and EVERYTHING was delicious. One day I would like to have eventually tried every dish. This is my forever favorite restaurant and such a treat when we are in town.

On my very first day of work at my current job, I was taken to this Din Tai Fung location for some foods that were, at the time, unfamiliar to me. While I didn’t have the acuity to appreciate it then, last night’s outing with 7 other friends was a flavor-filled quest I’ll never forget. Obviously known for their Xiao Long Boa, the sensation of a steamy, meaty, and broth-y explosion on my taste buds was better this second time as I knew what to look out for. Go with a big group and try out as many fillings as the overly-cheery waiters can bring – Taro buns for dessert are equally recommended. The vegetable options are decent as well. Also be prepared for a wait regardless of the time of day of your visit.

I was not a dim sum fan until now. This is not just a restaurant but an experience. The food was delicious, the service was shared between servers and consistently outstanding. Can we get a restaurant in the DC Metro area?

This is my first time visiting Din Tai Fung, as I’ve heard its name many times back then from some Taiwanese friends. Canada, unfortunately, doesn’t have any branches (caution, Ding Tai Fung is a copycat and it named itself Shanghainese food). We spent around half an hour waiting that is so lucky, and were impressed by its overall presentations. Its Xiao Long Bao is definitely one of a kind, though we ordered the “wrong” one (the one with crab), and its drink, two different noodles and sticky rice wrap were all unforgettable and mind blowing. We will highly recommend, even though it’s not cheap; but remember that we only live once haha.

Lets start with the service, Absolutely 5 stars the quality of service at this location is superb. From the host, to the servers, the wait staff..up to the floor managers. I felt so welcomed and accommodated. The floor manager actually took our order in an effort to expedite our meals. Our waiter Patrick did not miss a beat, he was polite and thorough.
