Always so tender and delicious! Best baked potatoes too! Add some sweet tea and an ice cream and you’re ready to roll home

Showed up about a half hour before they are slated to open (riding a motorcycle) so I was just hanging out till they open. Who I assume to be the manager/owner came out and asked me if I wanted to come in early and get some food. This was super nice.

I usually love Dickies, so I was super excited about seeing one off the freeway in Rifle, CO on our travels. An adorable town founded in early 1900’s. Brisket was good. So was pulled pork. Fried okra was yummy. Disappointed in the other sides. Creamed spinach and Caesar salads were both sub-par- not at all as good as other franchises. Sadly, the customer service from the ladies behind the counter was sub-standard as well. Not only did I have to wait for a long time to be helped- when there was no one in line- but I was told they would not exchange the bad food (after it was clear that we had only tasted it). They wanted to charge me an extra $3+ for it. The pictures are to show how they chose to talk instead of help customers.

I ordered online for the following day. I got there to pick it up curbside and had to wait 10 minutes because the guy says you never know when there’s going to be a freeway closure or something like that. I didn’t really mind that, I understand that happens all the time. The loaded baked potato with brisket was delicious, my mom’s pulled pork sandwich wasn’t much to her liking mostly because the little cups of barbecue sauce we’re so watered down that she couldn’t put it on her sandwich without making it soggy. I ordered it two meat plate with ribs, the ribs were overcooked the tops of them were so hard that I couldn’t even chew them. Honestly i think they were heated up from the day before. And again the watery barbecue sauce didn’t help at all. The okra was really good but way salty and undercooked. The coleslaw was pretty good. The little biscuit they give you is just gummy and had no butter to put on it. I would just like to order some of their sides but they’re like almost $4 each. So I’ll just make my own stuff from now on

Today was our first time in and it was absolutley wonderful. Had the special pulled pork sandwhich with two sides for $9.99. What a great deal, more than plenty of food. Loved all the options they have for sides, quite a variety to pick from. Both women at the counter where super friendly, and very helpful. Also liked that they had 3 kinds of barbecue you could help yourself too. Lool forward to my next visit.

Good place for barbecue in a pinch. The food is pretty good, I just go for the jalapeno sausage. Our ribs were tender, my husband loves the potato side with everything in it. The baked beans are good. I like this place but my food is never hot is the only issue I have with it.
