We just popped in for drinks as we’d driven up to Solvang then around the coast sightseeing. Happy hour Margaritas were top notch & great value. We didn’t eat as we were going out elsewhere but they did bring us chips & salsa. But we’ll be back for food as the fajitas looked & smelt amazing. Staff were very nice.

The food was really good here. We had the enchiladas, fish tacos (both kinds), and quesadillas. We left very satisfied. I loved how they gave chips and salsa, even after the entrees came.

Visited on a Tuesday evening around 6:30. Was seated outdoors immediately. Super friendly and attentive service and amazing food. Chips and Salsa were spot on (ask for the spicier salsa). Had a pastor special going on and the tacos and the Mr. Papa Delgado was delicious. Would go back for sure.

This restaurant was the first meal of our four day stop in the area. We were tired and hungry. First off, I want to mention that the staff are fabulous. Very friendly and the conversation was fun and unhurried. The chips and salsa are tasty. However, we ordered the sopes and were very disappointed. The sopes appear to be deep fried with the consistency of a beer batter. Not the traditional sopes we were expecting. And the chicken one actually tasted like tuna! I don’t know how they accomplished that. So, if you’re hungry and just need to eat something, then this place is fine. I just wouldn’t expect much.

We have been going here on a weekly basis since moving to carpinteria. For the last few months the food is always great! However we have noticed lately we have noticed a major decline in the cleanliness from food on the floor, dirty menus and dirty booths. It is so disappointing to see the restaurant decline. Sam the manager is very rude. We had reservations and she blankly just said go to the back, with no menus. The service is declining we received chips and salsa immediately but takes 20 minutes just to order some drinks and beg for menus. You can’t blame the waitress she is overwhelmed with so many tables. Severely understaffed. Very disappointing! The reality is it will always be busy because there is no other choices!

They have the best queso avocado tacos. It’s a corn tortilla slightly toasted filled with Monterey Jack cheese and guacamole topped off with lettuce, queso fresco, pico de gallo, sour cream drizzled with avocado salsa. Home made Mexican food taste. I stayed in Carpenteriador four nights and went twice to enjoy this dish!

Sometimes hard to find a restaurant in that area where they aren’t charging you $50 for a lobster claw with some sauce on it. Staff was super friendly. Food came really quickly, was delicious, good portions and reasonably priced. The beer list was respectable, which is so hard to find in California. In Vermont even a dump often has a dozen or so quality beers on tap. Usually places will have some over-hopped IPA and then Firestone, which is basically a fancy Budweiser product they charge you $12 for. The thing that makes this place an absolute gem though is their extensive list of tequilas. I wish I’d had more money and a younger liver because the Patron Reposado I had was the best tequila I’ve ever had, and that’s only halfway down the list! The very pretty waitress brought me an extra lime and did me the honor of laughing when I said, “oh yeah, I’m a white boy and just might need it”. Turns out I didn’t need any limes at all. I travel out there every few months and plan to make a habit of visiting every time with the fellas. It’s the kind of place Bourdain would have appreciated.

Delgado’s is a good place to eat. The food is very flavorful. Variety of Mexican Food. The homemade chips and salsa is very good. The seafood enchiladas are good. The al pastor burrito is very good. The plates are small portions.

We were here visiting family and came for dinner. We had reservations. The girl at the front did not walk us to our seats, but she pointed to our seats at the back of the restaurant (we were not given menus). I don’t believe our table was ready as there was chips all over the floor. We had to ask the busboy for menus and our chips and salsa after about 15 min (no drinks). We finally asked for drinks (that was about 20 min). My son in law and daughter got a mixed drink (ordered at the bar) and that of course came before we all got drinks of water or ice tea and soda. The food was good. Just a disappointment from our last visit. My daughter and son in law frequent this restaurant and we’ve noticed that everything has really gone downhill.

Not great…I had the Rellenos because of the great reviews, but it was not good. Suoer bland and barely hot. Nothing there was even memorable. It all had a weird taste and the service was just meh. After getting my food, my server never came by once! For $20, it should have had a tiny bit of glamor. I definitely won’t be back.
