French toast was overall great, bit too sweet, not enough savory. Hot chocolate was great and had bits of nice melted chocolate. Macchiato was spot on, probably the best I’ve had at a cafe in a long time. The omelette was quite flat and dry. Despite there being gruyere, hardly any flavors stood out.

Cozy, corner French breakfast place was an absolute joy. Everyone was so sweet there, even the customers! (Needed a table for 3 but there weren’t any available; a couple moved so we could push two tables together) The drip coffee is insanely delicious and the whole milk latte my friend got was beautiful and very well made. Both friends ordered the hash bowl with an over easy egg on top and I ordered the salad with goat cheese. All the food was great and the manager (I’m assuming) was even accommodating by giving me a ramiken to make my own vinegarette when I realized I couldn’t eat their balsamic vinegarette. Friend got a breakfast dessert, too: the hazelnut and nutella croissant. Delicious!

One of my happy place in Wilmington. I go there quite often and love their food. I had the hash bowl for the first time today. And they were very accommodating about making a simple crepe with just sugar and lemon juice. It’s crepe day in my country and I like simple crepe. Their onion and goat cheese tart is also delicious. I do not drink coffee but my friend really like his coffee. Also I love the fact they use Duralex glass, you can find “your age” at the bottom 🙂 The place is small but perfect for tiny folks like me. We need more place with this spirit in this city.

I visited De La Coeur for the first time having a pretty crummy day. As I walked in I was greeted by the barista and excellent sounds and smells that brightened my day a little more. The tables were all full but the barista offered to make me a coffee while I waited. Their coffee was so smooth and warming I didn’t care about the wait. The waitress was very cheerful even though she was stretched thin with all of the tables and orders. I ordered the Sausage, Gruyere, and Sage Aioli Hash which was absolutely delicious. I can truly say I recommend this cafe for an excellent breakfast.

Lovely cafe with beautifully prepared and delicious food. Me shipmate friends and I came for brunch in honor of our dearly departed Ed. The coffee was excellent, and the food was superb. I had the savory crepes which were delightful.

Great little place with a small but excellent menu. There can be a bit of a wait since there are not many tables.

I was meeting a business client for breakfast at 8:00 AM this morning (21 Jan 2020), and was met by a cheerful “good morning” upon entering the restaurant. I sat down at a small table in the corner to wait for my guest. Coffee arrived within seconds as well as my guest. We both ended up ordering the same breakfast, 2 egg omelette with tomatoes and goat cheese + hot sauce on the side. Seems like an odd cheese to have with breakfast but it proved to be well suited for the eggs. Serving size was just the right amount….not too much or too little. Hash brown potatoes came as a side……..not over seasoned which is how I prefer them. My guest could only eat a bit more then half (watching diet) so I decided not to look like a gluten so I asked to have my remaining breakfast boxed.
