Love this place. Great location, and we ride to Yankton with this place as a destination. The food portions are huge, and the walleye is some of the best I have had in the area. Like sitting outside even when it’s hot. The flies are a pain, but you are outside, so get used to it. We will be back again.

After several recommendations from friends, we made it to the Dam Fish Shack on a wonderful warm sunny day. We enjoyed the cold beer and tasty drinks until our “Dam” order was up. As first time patrons we ordered Walleye baskets and several sides for the table. The sides were pricey but they can feed an army. We shared amongst the table and still had way to much food left over. So we over ordered not knowing how big the basket and sides were. All in all it was great tasting food at a great value. As was mentioned several times at the table, The Dam Fish Shack is off-the-hook and definitely worth going out of your way to visit and enjoy.

SUPER cute atmosphere! I love how they call your name over the intercom and say “your dam food is ready” and then when you pick it up they say “enjoy your dam food.” (I get a kick out of the little things.) Food was good and there was a nice selection, including many appetizer choices. The décor was super cute and bar area was fun. They have lots of umbrellas to stay out of the sun. Adult bean bag/ corn hole game and even a child size one. Can also play ring toss. Cozy little sitting areas, public restrooms and a little store/ shop. This place was WAY bigger and nicer than I expected for a food truck. It was much more like an outdoor restaurant. They do have indoor seating too if you prefer that. Most meals were around $16.50. I’ll definitely be going again and telling others to check it out too! #hiddengem

The food was so delicious. I cannot stop thinking about how great my Buffalo Burger was. The fried mushrooms were so good and I HATE mushrooms! I’ll eat these ones though! The atmosphere was spot on for a riverside get away and hangout. Highly recommend if your coming with a group of people. They do takeout too! Woohoo!

Service was great. Owner was very polite and accommodating. Food was amazing! Our group ordered the gator, a burger, a Buffalo burger, and the walleye sandwich. All tasted great and cooked perfectly. I recommend this place to everyone.

It was recommended that we try this restaurant as we are from Kansas City and just passing through. We absolutely loved it! Fun atmosphere, excellent food, friendly service. Outdoor seating, as well as indoor, though the weather was too perfect for sitting inside! We each had the walleye basket and an order of hushpuppies. The portions are extremely generous. We really could have shared a meal and the hushpuppies and had more than enough. Everything was so good!
