Updated review: went today Saturday 11/1 to try the doubles worst ever it tasted stale and frozen and was hard at the ends and the chickpeas tasted undercooked and tasted like just masala and didn’t have any pepper sauce! A different girl who was there today said her dad is making it the pepper sauce that his restaurant. So keeping that in mind there’s a halal sign I was happy about but now got me rethinking it all! So when I had visited couple days before I was “told only the chicken patties not the beef and only certain things on their menu is halal. I wanted to try the chicken patty that that day when I went couple days ago but they had ran out. So today when I was double checking about the halal stuff and saw there was chicken patty the owner daughter told me neither the chicken or beef patty is halal. So seeing another Muslim couple went to buy chicken and beef patties I went back to ask her (3rd time ) then she changed her mind said that oh yeah it is hmmm after that I’m not trusting it. Went back to her with my hard and stale doubles and told her about it. Don’t recommend save your trip only frozen stale food and lies serve here!

I visited this restaurant many times. I had the jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, and curry goat. One cannot go wrong with any dish offered here. The portions are massive and one will not leave hungry or dissatisfied. I highly recommend Caribbean Cabana .

The food was absolutely amazing! Full of flavor, fresh, and honestly the kind of place that makes you want to eat there every single day. Sadly, it’s a bit too far for me to do that .
The service could use some improvement, but the food more than makes up for it. Overall, an incredible spot and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

The flavor of the food is decent but this is by far a long way from real Caribbean food. The oxtails are tender but way too much garlic. My rice and peas looked like mashed potatoes. Cabbage had no flavor. Nothing was jerked about the chicken. As a chef I don’t want to down the restaurant but that’s my first and last time going. Cashier wasn’t the friendliest either. But if your looking for real Caribbean food this is not it!!

When I come here, I’m getting the oxtail plate with macaroni pie and rice and peas, or I’m getting those tasty chicken curry patties.
WHATEVER I choose, it’s literally gone in 20 minutes.
Sometimes it is hit or miss for me with the staff – like sometimes they’re friendly and other times it seems as if they’re there just to take the order.
Sometimes the oxtail is very meaty and other ones the oxtail are small.
Aside from those I always love visiting this place to get my fix for Caribbean food.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Such a nice, loving family and the food is ALWAYS good to us. My sister and I quite often come to the Farmer’s Market; sometimes just to eat here. We dine-in and take out depending on our plans for the day. I highly recommend!!!!

Visiting Dallas Farmers Market food hall and saw Trini flag. Ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas, macaroni pie, and coleslaw. 10/10 THE CHICKEN FELL OFF THE BONE. It had a smoky taste. The plate $18 and came with FIVE pieces of chicken. 3 legs 2 thighs. The macaroni pie was the BEST I’ve ever had. It was soft, cheesy, and melted in my mouth. The rice and peas were seasoned and didn’t need any gravy. I will be back.

Not sure why I was seeing the bad reviews I saw because was place was AMAZING and TASTY. Absolutely no complains. We received wonderful service and the cashier allowed us to sample the mango drink and the hibiscus drink which were both wonderful. The place was super packed but we did not wait long. Ordered the jerk chicken which came with rice, cabbage, and macaroni and everything was 10/10. All I have to say is go and check this place out before considering the bad reviews because it was a wonderful experience. Will be back.

Had the jerk chicken combo, since the oxtail is not halal. It was delicious! Chicken was seasoned almost perfectly and the sides gave a nice mix of flavors.
The guy at the register was also super friendly and made it a pleasant experience.

The food is great but the customer service is horrible, and I know Trini people customer service is not good but that needs to change. I would choose Roland Jamaican Chicken (they have great food also ) over them simply because of the service.
