This Dairy Queen was built in 1958 and was originally franchised by Herb and Louise Warner. Louise’s brother, Albert Brunelle and his wife, Connie, purchased the franchise in 1960. The Dairy Queen has been passed down three generations, since then. In 1984, Robert and Terry (Albert and Connie’s daughter) Reinhardt took over. After 33 years of operation, Robert and Terry retired in 2017, leaving the Dairy Queen with their son, Alan Reinhardt.

I feel like theyre starting to skimp. Last time i got a fudge sundae and there was max, a tablespoon of fudge. I got a Reese’s blizzard (photo) that had less than usual and there weren’t that many Reeses chunks. I also got an Oreo cheesecake blizzard and there weren’t any cheesecake bits! Went to buy an ice cream cake (no writing on it, just stock). Was asked for a tip. Felt pressured so I gave 2 dollars. As soon as I tipped, the cashier became kinda cold/rude and ignored me. Guess the tip wasnt good enough for her. Honestly I regret tipping, even if she had been nice, I was just buying a premade cake.

I know when it comes to ice cream we have options. I love simplicity and thats Dairy Queen for me! Simple menus, something for everyone and prices are reasonable. I’m a big fan of the Blizzards, the Bannana Spluts and of course their soft serve cones!!! Give it a try, you’ll love it too!

After growing up with the original Dairy Queen at the corner of this parking lot. It’s kinda of a shame they replaced it with this one The ice cream just doesn’t taste as good.
