Overall the quality of the blizzards we order is what we expect from DQ. We had no issues with customer service when we went. We went inside, ordered, I used the restroom, and our 3 blizzards and 1 cone were ready by the time I came out. Plus there was an order ahead of us.

Ordered a chocolate blizzard and was given a vanilla blizzard. Pointed out that the blizzard was white not brown and girl at the register said no that’s chocolate. Took a bite of it and it was definitely vanilla so I asked for it to be remade with chocolate. They remade it for me but the new blizzard tasted like it had something burnt in it, and my partner tasted this as well. Will not eat here ever again. Girl with brown hair and freckles should be fired for putting something burnt in my blizzard because I politely asked her to fix her mistake.

Waited 15 minutes in the drive up at the window before the food came. When it finally came, the girl handed it to me with no apology for the wait and quickly closed the window. The extra gravy that I ordered was not there, nor were there any napkins, but i couldn’t ask because the window was shut. So I knocked on the window. First, I knocked sort of quietly with no response, so i knocked harder,and the girl burst through the window and growled at me “I’m taking an order!” with the dirtiest look I’ve ever gotten from a food service worker. Then she slammed the window closed again. I drove away, then called the store. I asked for the manager and he came on the line. I told him that I had waited 15 minutes for my food and he started to mumble some excuse which I didn’t quite catch, then I told him about how the girl snarled at me and didn’t apologize. He offered another excuse but still no apology. Not until I said that I had not received an apology did he finally say that he did apologize, but I never heard one.

This has been my favorite fast food go to in Cottonwood for over 40 years, not anymore. This is my 3rd bad experience in a row here. Only 1 customer ahead of us and 1 drive thru and it took almost 20 minutes to get our food, which was ALL the wrong order. Caught the girl behind the counter taking and eating fries out of the food in the window for service. Manager is extremely inexperienced in customer service. Ended up getting my money back and going to Sonic

I repeated the toppings I wanted in my blizzard four times and they still got it wrong. I mean really, how hard can it be. If you are getting something custom your best bet is to pull up to the window and talk directly to the person making your food because I’m pretty sure the communication breakdown happened with the person working the window / speaker. He just couldn’t wrap his head around something that differed from a standard blizzard. Coco Fudge, Peanut Butter, Malt Powder, and Peanuts. Pretty simple. 4 toppings. And charged me $8+ geeeez.

Worse Dairy Queen. Always out of ingredients (Folks, no more COVID excuses). Skimpy portions in the blizzard. I was charged .89 per ingredient for a small banana and pecan blizzard, $8.03. Looked like 5 pieces of pecans and I found 2 small chucks of bananas. You leave feeling ripped off. Very, very young staff. Mismanaged. Camp Verde is much further but 1000x better. Worth the drive. I will not be taking my family of 6 to this location any more. I can buy a whole carton of Haagan Dazs or Ben and Jerry’s for less.

My bacon cheeseburger was good but had no bacon! But they made it right when I mentioned it. My husband ordered the $8 cheeseburger meal which showed a photo of a sundae, but when we asked they said you had to upgrade the drink. It doesn’t say that and no one mentioned it. Very deceptive and disappointing. 🙁 But their remodel is very nice.
