I’ll try to explain my experience. It was pretty bad, I had always heard very mixed reviews and with the bar I frequent on Fridays closed I decided to try here. I walked in and asked to sit at the bar since it’s awkward sitting alone at a booth. But after repeating myself 3 times I was sat at a booth. I just shrugged it off and ordered a cocktail and water before ordering food. I ordered the grilled salmon with roasted potatoes. When they came out it looked great, but the preparedness and taste was lacking. The salmon tasted great until I saw the center was not fully cooked, I set it aside showing the waitress and said it was fine and I didn’t want it back. But she insisted, so then I turned to the potatoes. They looked perfect, however they had a sourness to them, like they put lemon or vinegar on them and it was honestly off putting. When the waitress came back I asked for the bill, I honestly hated the bread, the potatoes, and didn’t want my salmon anymore. But she came back with the salmon and a bill for nearly $40 for a terrible time. I honestly just wanted to mingle and have a few drinks, instead I got a hole in my wallet and a bad taste in my mouth. I left and paid my bill, at this point I just wanted to leave. I hope you all have a better experience, I see this as $40 dollars wasted and an hour and a half I’ll never get back.

We haven’t been here in years. The menu is smaller. The food was not awful. The chicken parm was a breaded piece of chicken with no seasoning and cheap cheese on top. The pasta was not fresh. The tomato sauce was more like a gravy. There was nothing saucy or fresh about it. We have been to a lot of Italian restaurant so maybe our standards are higher. Safe to say we will not be back. The restaurant was busy and pretty full nit it’s the only one in the area.

Went to Crispies tonight for Friday night date night. Had not been there in quite awhile figured we would give it a shot. Bad idea! Got seated right away, another party was seated shortly after us and the hostess immediately got them bread. Never asked us if we wanted any. The waitress eventually come over and asked what we want for drinks, had to ask for a drink menu. She got us ONE menu. Came back in a few minutes with the bread , which was very good, and walked away without asking us what we want to drink. Eventually ordered our drinks and some garlic bread. Garlic bread was good but somewhat burnt. Ordered our meals and had to ask for water. Hubby ordered haddock with crab meat stuffing and linguine, I ordered Chicken Parm. The chicken parm came out quickly, she had another plate in her hand but realized it did not belong to us, she said his order would be ”right out”. My chicken parm was tasty even though it was a bit crispy around the edges. Waitress came by again and said “ yours will be right out” 10 minutes later another person came by asking if everything was as okay, my husband pointed out that he did not have his food yet, she went back and checked and said “it will be right out” , tick tock tick tock , the waitress came by and said she will go check on it, at least 15 -20 minutes went by, his meal finally came out , without the linguine , she put it down and quickly walked away to get his linguine, his meal was burnt!!!! She came out two more times to other customers without his linguine, we had to flag her over to send back the food. By now I was half way thru my meal so I just asked for a second plate so he could eat mine for dinner. Earlier I had also ordered corn chowder to go, while we were sitting there customers were leaving and the waitress said “wait don’t forget your corn chowder “ the customer said we didn’t order corn chowder, I reminded her that was for me. We asked for the manager, she came out with a bit of an attitude, when my husband showed her the pic of his fish she said ya that looks a little dark! We also pointed out the burnt garlic bread and she said that’s how they cook it. They took the fish and garlic bread off the menu but with attitude. While we were sitting there we heard the waitress telling customers their specials, never did we hear the specials, when we asked her about that she said “ well you knew what you wanted so I didn’t bother” we only knew what we wants cause we didn’t know they had specials. Anyhow, we will not be returning there . Shame, was a nice family owned hometown restaurant that is not worth going too. Sorry for the long review but so much went wrong tonight. Only have 2 pics, the burnt fish and the burnt garlic bread. Make note the menus are still sitting on the table too.

Service staff is great but the food is not fresh at all. They heat it up and it’s clear that it has been sitting for a while. Yes it’s convenient that it comes out super quickly, but I like fresh food, especially at those prices. This is the second time I have given this place a try.

My husband and I had delicious chicken and chicken eggplant parmesan with enough leftover for each of us to enjoy leftovers. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. W’ell definitely be back.

Went for a family birthday dinner. Had prepped the restaurant days ahead, but no recognition on evening we went. Meals were very slow in coming to the table, server was not attentive at all, no recognition of birthday person. Very disappointing!

This restaurant is always great, the staff is outstanding, and the food is even better. We’ve been going here for years and everything we’ve ordered has been great, and we have 5 kids, so you had to please a crowd every time. Definitely the best decision you’ll make today. Great people and atmosphere.

Food was good and the service was fast and friendly. The only issue was with the takeout containers. The cheesy garlic bread was stuck to the box making most of the pieces inedible. The pasta containers were also flimsy.

Chef Nick is always very accommodating for me! As a vegan I find it hard to eat at restaurants in the area, I sometimes feel bad ordering off the menu, but not at Crispi’s!! I order what I call a “vegan primavera”, I ask for allllll the veggies in oil & garlic over pasta. Always delish, thanks Chef Nick! Also the bread here is top notch:)
