Checking out some citrus groves on lake Wales and decided to try this place. Super cute old Fl cracker building, not fancy, but great seafood! The clam strip appetizer was amazing.. lightly breaded nothing chewy going on here, fresh and tender! I had the grouper basket with broccoli instead of fries. Huge piece of fish and huge serving of broccoli! Great hush puppies too, and cold beer. Check them out if you’re in the area .

Met some of our oldest friends here second time in 5 years. This place was as much fun as it was then. Food was excellent my fried shrimp was spot on and my fries were great. There was a couple other platters as well a burger and a shrimp special. Mostly sweet tea but the slice of key lime at the end of the meal was truly a treat. I plan to come back here again hopefully sooner than later. Parking was in a dirt lot. Some construction going on I’m sure it’s all being improved. Worth the effort to visit.

Yes, the food is Great..I am a frog legs fan..did not disappoint..the fried clam tender…the conch fritter awesome. Service was quick and accurate. Cook said hi on the way in. I will be back!!

I have been working in the area and seen this place had some good reviews on it and it came highly recommended. I will say when I first got there the service was good but then my waitress just disappeared. I had ordered a bowl of clam chowder and it looked and tasted really good at first until I started finding some weird stuff in it that I couldn’t identify. My waitress finally shows up for me to let her know. They did take care of that issue. I also ordered the oysters Rockefeller which is really good and I ordered the ahi tuna appetizer which was good also. My only recommendation for the ahi tuna appetizer is to not use full sodium soy sauce for the dipping sauce. It was way too salty to use for the fish and really overpowered the flavor of the fish. I ordered a piece of key lime pie to go and I will say that they overcharged for what looks like a piece of old slop on a piece of pie crust. I honestly threw it away because it didn’t look right at all. I really think this place was off their A game today.

Talk about not judging a book by its cover ♀️. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, twin lobster tails and 4oz. crab cakes. The Oyster Rockefeller was on point, and the clam chowder was delicious. We will definitely be back. Glad to know it’s not far from home .

So glad we’ve found this place! Their Cajun pasta and blackjack burger, amazing! Delicious house dressing, hush puppies, garlic bread and coleslaw. Their garlic habanero hot sauce was so good, we had to bring one home! Fun decorations, lively restaurant, friendly staff, fast service, very busy but worth the wait!

The gumbo is spot on! The location is kind of sketchy. And the building might collapse any day. But overall, it’s got charm and character. A cute place to stop for a bite.
