Haven’t been to Costa Vida in years and boy did I miss it. Amazing food, fun place, and staff was super helpful with my wife’s allergies. The place is clean. The cashier wasn’t the most personable but some people are just quieter.

After mixing my steak Baja bowl up I found that there was no steak in it, and a small handful of beans and rice. It was basically just lettuce. So I returned to have that exchanged for a proper one. When I return I find the tres leches I bough had no strawberries, and was no covered in the milk sauce. The cake was basically just an angel food cake with some whip cream on top. Two completely messed up dishes in one order is a clear sign of no intent of quality.

This is my go-to place for lunch when working downtown. They make it right in front of you as you pay for it. My favorite is pork nachos with refried beans and with the chips in a separate container so they don’t get soggy.

I’ve never needed to write a review for some place I got food from, but this time it’s well deserved. My boyfriend ordered food from you guys last night and I got the pork enchiladas. Right away I knew something was off considering every bite I took was chewy/mushy. A big chunk of “meat” slid out of the enchilada, but it wasn’t meat it literally looked like intestines or a stomach of something?! And then I found a hair so I was very upset and disgusted. And this is the second time we didn’t get everything we ordered.

This was my first and last visit, this place is so disgusting, dirty, employee talking over the food, spitting onto the food, the food is so nasty and overpriced, portions are so small, rice was hard, beans were hard and overcooked, i went in hungry and left hungry, save yourself the bad experience and go somewhere else. It is very shocking that they are even in business. I would be very surprised if they even respond to this review, looks like they only respond to positive feedback. Bad corporate office to allow.

I’ve eaten at this CV location regularly for years now. I don’t know how many thousands of dollars of my income I’ve spent here. I know that times are tough for many, but the quality and consistency here has gotten worse over the past few months. The portions have gotten smaller and smaller. It seems like a lottery every time I eat here, and I really want this location to succeed because it’s an important part of the downtown Boise restaurant scene.
