Ordered take out from their lunch menu and was very impressed with the quality of the food and the portions. I was pleasantly surprised to learn this is a sister restaurant to the one in Jersey City (which is excellent). I’m so happy to have this restaurant in Garwood! Will definitely order from here regularly.

I’ve wanted to check Clove Garden out every time I have visited Garwood. I’m so glad I did. I ordered the pepper fry appetizer with chicken. The owner asked if I liked spicy and I said absolutely! The pepper fry chicken was very flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Cilantro, green peppers black peppercorns, and Indian spices gave this appetizer its delightful flavor. The owner gave me some basmati rice to have with the chicken and also packed a little dessert in my take out package. (Thank you very much) The hospitality did not end there. While I waited for my chicken, I was brought a mango Lassi. This is a mango yogurt drink and I could see myself getting hooked on this refreshing drink.

Ordered takeout for dinner tonight and I am so happy Garwood finally has a good Indian restaurant. Portions were well sized, everything tasted fresh and delicious. We ordered the mango chicken, paneer and the chicken chettinadu, as well as the mango lassi. The rosemary naan was also really good. Definitely just became one of my favorite Indian food spots in this area. The food was ready within 15-20 minutes, and it was well worth it.

Went here with my girlfriend for lunch on a whim and it ended up being some of the most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had. I had their butter chicken, which was DELICIOUS. The coolest thing was that they had COCONUT NAAN. I am not an Indian food expert but I never saw coconut naan before. So, being a coconut lover, I ordered it. And it was AMAZING. I will order it every time. I would definitely recommend this place before any other. Their prices are also very reasonable and the staff is very kind. I will be back!

Fast service, tasty food, reasonable pricing and portions. Possibly the best of this cuisine in the area that I’ve found so far, and thrilled about it.

We ordered the chana masala and shahi paneer. The chana was very bland and tasted like canned chickpeas. The shahi tasted more like a salty alfredo sauce than shahi.
