The best hot dog on the entire planet. I’m not kidding. I’ve never had anything close to the hot dogs at City Lunch. Grew up eating here and if there was ever a reason to move back to Franklinton, this is it.

The most racist, nastiest place EVER!!! “What you gone have”. Horrible service!! Need to be shut down. Does not!!! Make all feel welcomed!!! Honestly! I can’t figure out how they’ve stayed open for so long. Not only bad service but nasty as well. Before I stopped eating there, not ONCE had I seen a employee wash their hands before handling the food. IDC if it is family owned!!

Love this place, I’ve grew up to the Waiden family’s breakfast every morning as a child! Some of the service isn’t as friendly as I would hope it to be, BUT… decor holds many memories of past and present patrons, and residents of Franklinton, the price is good, and food is always great, and fresh! They also have great new extended hours! I would suggest 2 cheeseburgers all the way, (hold the slaw, with one burger to go), french fries and a piece of pecan pie!

A great family owned business in the town of franklinton. Some of the best hot dogs with Clyde’s homemade chilli. Also in 1964 mr. Clyde’s dad was the first one to open his restaurant door to the African American people. They welcome everyone no matter who you are. Great family owned restaurant with great food who welcomes all of their customers, no mater who you are.

Great place to eat for an affordable price. Friendly staff and best hotdogs around. You can eat a big breakfast or lunch for $5.00 and under. You definitely get your money’s worth.
