My issue with this Chipotle and I don’t know if there’s others like this… Is that when it comes to ordering salad and you ask for a salad dressing this is the portion they give you. I’m not saying they have to fill it up to the top but at least halfway this is like a teaspoon. This location of Chipotle and any other location should be ashamed of themselves if this is how they’re going to serve salad dressing. And you should not even charge any customer extra if they ask for another one or two. They have to do better than this at least feel it halfway up.

Don’t order online. They have 1 person doing all the online orders and you’ll watch people come in and order their food and leave before you ever get yours. Ordered ahead 45 minutes and still waited 20+ minutes after arriving to get lunch. Then my order was messed up.

I am a vegetarian and the last thing you want is a piece of meat in the mouth! I had ordered a queso blanco but got just chips for which I had to return back for the queso which is fine. Mistakes happen. However, what is not right is they provided meat in my queso and I ate it and later realized that it’s not anything vegetarian (sorry to post a photo of a chewed meat) I would like to contact the manager of this location so that it does not happen next time with anybody else.

Avoid ordering delivery from this location. 3 consecutive orders that were canceled after waiting 1-2 hours and being told “rest assured, the orders are on their way”. Won’t make the mistake again.

I have been a long time customer of Chipotle. Generally speaking I enjoy their food and service. Since my office is only a couple of blocks from this location, I have probably visited it hundreds of times over the past 7 years. It is one of the best run locations that I have been to in the country. If you have been to a poorly run Chipotle (which I definitely have) then you can clearly discern one experience from the other. The Lake St Chicago location is a very busy store with customers typically lining up all the way outside during the busy lunch hour. Today, I lined up outside the store just like I have many days before. By the time my food was prepared, I could see the manager attempting to figure out an issue with the POS system. Unfortunately, he could not get it to work. However, he and his team graciously made sure that all of the customers including myself whose food had already been prepared were checked out free of charge. I understand this is a business and I would have gladly paid later if there was a way to do so. Although, he was busy with trying to problem solve the POS issue as well as dealing with all the other challenges of a popular and busy lunch time restaurant operation, Mario Castro, the store’s GM, made a very good decision to put the customer first despite the loss of sales! It is decisions like these and people like Mario that will keep me coming back to this excellent restaurant and this location specifically. Well done Mario and team! Thanks to you I will be back for lunch tomorrow and many more days to come!
