Simple but delicious spot. It’s a plus that this takeout spot isn’t dark and dirty. The prices are reasonable and food is good. I had the breakfast sandwich..bacon was a good size not the usual thin strips. My hubs had the simple breakfast plate.

This was my third experience with Chefpat. The first, I ordered salmon patty breakfast. I didn’t finish the salmon patties because they were overly breaded and the seasoning was very strong. I tried again, that time, the tilapia breakfast. When I go to work, I noticed it wasn’t tilapia. This final time I ordered the shrimp breakfast bowl for $5.30 with tax. It was so small, it’s really more of a snack. I ended up ordering a meal from a diner near my job. Three shrimp, a sample of grits and one egg. I would’ve liked at least a good heaping of grits. I’m sure that meal costs them $1.50, they can at least give a bit more grits to make it more filling. I think I’ll stick with Royal Casino or Spoons. Third time was NOT a charm for me. But, they definitely have potential just need to work on a few things. I love salmon patties, I make them daily. They need to keep the salmon chunky and not mix it so fine. Lose a lot of the breading. Work on those bowls being more filling and not kid serving.

It was a great morning to start. I wanted to eat a breakfast sandwich, not the kind you get from McDonald’s or Burger King, but a real homemade breakfast sandwich. So, I remembered this location called ChefPats on Oakland Park Blvd close to where I work. I park to get out of the car as I walk in I greet everyone “Good morning” I look directly at the cook when I say this. He looks directly at me and stares at me without saying a word I immediately focus my attention on the woman behind the counter and say “good morning” and no response but a look on her face as if I was bothering them. I look at the menu, and I noticed the sandwich I wanted. I do continue to order even though many other people would have walked out of the encounter.

I’m really unsure why Customer Service is a problem for some people. The facts are that no matter how convenient the food is it tasty it is, with a unwelcoming attitude sprinkled on top makes the meal disgusting. Representing another’s business in the front or the phone must be respectful no matter what. Which includes tone of voice and posture.

I love coming to this place when I am in town but today was a disappointment. I come in at 10:45 and they say no breakfast. I say ok then she says we are not talking orders for lunch until 11 with an annoyed look on her face. It felt as if she was trying to tell me you wont be getting your meal anytime soon so you might as well leave. Hopefully next time is better : (

The food is always fresh cooked to order, the customer service is great; they are always friendly and showing a smile. When you walk in they greet you and when you leave they say something to you, and I’ve been there when they were extremely busy and not so busy and it’s always the same working hard with a smile and getting the customers taken care of. I’ve been to numerous restaurants where the food is good, but the customer service sucks, I’ll take the customer service any day, because we all have not so good days but when you can hold it together for your customers that speaks volume and carries a lot of weight. Keep up the good work ladies and gents. Great staff and Great Food Chef Pat!!!

I like the close vicinity of this place in reference to my job. The lunch specials are great!! The phone customer service could definitely use some improvement. You lose customers when you have people running your establishment who aren’t as passionate about it as you are. Food is overall great tasting!
