Owners are a husband (Chef/Pizzamaker) and wife, native New Yorkers, and not new to the pizza culture, living it UP in Lake County, FL, raising their 5 children and producing flavors learned from Italian and European culinary gourmet Chefs and trained UP in the pizza life they credit to true pizzaiola’s and mentors from Brooklyn and Queens. My husband & I (both newer to Groveland area) stopped in for the first time last night at Chefing It Up. We ordered food to go. The atmosphere was beyond welcoming. The gentleman at the counter provided super customer service from the minute we walked in. Our food was delicious! We ordered an extra large meat pizza, chicken parmigiana, the most wonderful red velvet cheesecake ever & a black and white cookie. Everything was spectacular. We will definitely be back. The food being delicious was great (don’t get me wrong) but the customer service and gratitude for stopping in was something that a customer does not experience everywhere. We actually left there and said how we really like Chefing It Up & how nice the worker was (may have been the owner, I’m not sure). Before we ever took a bite of our food we had been sold on returning just simply by how we had been treated. With this level of customer care I will support this small business regularly! And it is YUMMY!

Don’t be fooled by how unsuspecting this place is. Chefing it UP is by far the best pizza I’ve had in Florida. I moved from NY a little over a year ago, and I carried on my family’s tradition of eating pizza every Tuesday. Over this past year, I have visited well over a dozen Pizzerias. Many imitated pizza from NY, but none were able to get it quite right. Well Chefing it Up doesn’t settle with just “imitating” NY pizza, but actually manages to elevate itself above even many of my favorite NY joints.

This place is sooo good! I moved here from New York last year and have been trying to find good pizza. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!!! I’ve been coming here for a few weeks now and today I tried their Sicilian pie and I don’t think I can ever look at another pizza place! This place blew me away with the flavor in their sauce, it was so authentic and fresh. These people care about their food and their customers. If you want amazing pizza you have to COME HERE DO NOT HESITATE, I promise you won’t regret it and you’ll go back. This place is better then the pizza I ate back in New York!!!

Wow extremely friendly awesome service. My son and I got heroes and they’re making the bread fresh for us. wow!! fresh bread with a hero mind blowing and the pizzas are outrageous. make a stop it’s worth it. It’s an update Sicilian pie and chicken parm sandwich with garlic knots oh my god it was all gone last night with three people great food great people

The garlic knots and Carne pizza were delicious. The ingredients were fresh unlike the artificial flavor you get at the chain restaurants. I will definitely be back to explore the other items on the menu.

Ordered take out. Pizza was delicious! The Canolis were some of the best Canolis I have ever had. It was not the pasty sweet icing you get from most places. I will defnatley be back! Everyone was so nice and friendly as well. Only reccomndation I have is a small Kids menu I had to order an adult pasta dinner for my little one. Even if its just smaller portions of what is currently on your menu.

We stopped passing through Groveland and were blown away! We got the carne pizza- all ingredients were fresh and the crust was perfectly crispy. Probably the best New York pizza in 50 miles. House made tiramisu was AMAZING. 5 stars bc everything was great, the food, the atmosphere, the staff. The owner was a great guy and clearly passionate about what he does.

Yay! To this place! Is very quaint but perfect! Family owned makes it better the owner Vinny and his wife are awesome to everyone very attentive. We love the antipasto, calzone, Margherita pizza, chicken parm, lasagna, cannolis and their creme Brule dessert (I just wish it was bigger portion) it is soooo good, one of the best I’ve had!
