Anyone who’s spent time in Southampton knows this is the spot for the best cold brew and the very best sandwiches. I’ve been ordering here every weekend for 4 years and they’ve never disappointed me. Online ordering option makes it super easy to pick food up with no wait. CHEESE SHOPPE FOREVER!!

i hate leaving a bad review, i worked in the service industry for almost 10 years, but mamma mia. i ordered 2 sandwiches and had to wait for almost 45 minutes for them. eventually i went inside and saw that my two sandwiches were sitting under the heat lamp while other orders got packaged up, i waited inside for an additional 15 minutes they were handed over. i finally got my food, went back to my hotel to eat them. no egg on my egg sandwich.

BEWARE don’t eat here unless you want severe food poisoning! I hate to do this, I reached out several times asking to speak with a manager and the employees do not know when their “boss” I coming back from vacation… a few days ago my boyfriend and I ate here. He got the chicken salad. Was the only thing he ate all day and a few hours after he was violently ill. He was throwing up every 20-30 minutes for over 12 hours. Looked up common causes of food poisoning and the first thing that popped up is a bacteria that grows on mayo-based salads (like the chicken salad he had) the food he was served that day was either improperly stored or old enough for bacteria to grow on it. I’ve made several attempts to contact the store manager in an effort to prevent this from happening to someone else but it’s obvious they have little supervision there. According to them the manager is on vacation and they don’t know when they’re coming back. They are not practicing food safety here and I urge everyone go stay away unless they want to be food poisoned.

Walking by Southampton, I saw how many people where stopping by this place to grab some salad, so I said, why not?
My husband, sister and I, got 3 different salads. We were all more than disappointed by the little amount and almost non existent topping that they put on the salad when they are even charging you for each topping.
Even when I went back inside and asked for more, the amount was still not enough. And it’s not that I was asking for a lot of “carrots” (example) but I was asking for a decent amount so I could eat something else other that baby arugula.
Unfortunately, I will not recommend it and won’t come back

Sandwiches were nothing special, but the lack of a bathroom was a real kicker. They can evade the requirements apparently due to being classed as a deli rather than a restaurant. They are also unhelpful when you ask them where a bathroom could be found elsewhere. Judging by the bitchy replies to others who have raised this on these reviews, they know full well they’re being unreasonable but obviously don’t want to spend the money to remedy it. It is comical how clearly outraged they are at the suggestion that a bathroom would be a reasonable thing to expect of a place that has 30+ seats inside and out for dining.

I don’t get the negative reviews. I go in every Sunday after service at First Presbyterian across the street, and whether it’s crowded during the summer months or less crowded in the off-season, the workers are helpful, the service is always wonderful, and the sandwiches and coffee are always great. Everyone seems to be enjoying whatever it is they bought. One of my favorite places to grab a bite in Southampton.

Visited here for the first time last week with my client. I thought it was nicely put together allowing people space to sit and eat right at the front of shop. The menu was Large. Lots of choices. I waited a while for two sandwiches And proceeded to sit at the tables in front with my client. During eating my client realized she needed a straw and went up to the counter to ask for one… (Now…. my client has (EOA) which makes her forget the names of simple things like “straw” so upon approaching the man at register to ask him for “A thingy” for her Cup. He immediately corrected her with a slight attitude naming ” the Thingy as a Straw.” I didn’t say anything at the time because I didn’t want to embarrass my client… Then yesterday we returned to the shop at my clients request her not Knowing or remembering the happenings of last week and the experience was much better. Seemed more friendly and atmosphere was fantastic. Food was good and the Coffee was delicious… Pricey menu but welcome to the Hamptons.

Matcha latte was not whisked well so I got chunks of matcha in my mouth. The service was horrendous. Specifically, our group ordered two smoothies and we waited for almost 20 minutes. The whole store emptied and the smoothies still hadn’t arrived. We checked once after 10 minutes and once after 20 minutes, both times gently. Both times the owner Nikki was unnecessarily rude. Hospitality is all about respect and courtesy. When one of our group members called her out on her unwarranted aggression, she escalated it further; it was so uncalled for and unprofessional. Would never ever return nor would recommend this place to anyone. Overpriced, poor quality, and the worst owner ever.

I’ve had a few sandwiched from here and they have all been soooo yummy!! They have a lot of sandwich options that makes it hard to decide so I’ve tried a couple different ones 🙂 I’d recommend ordering online and collecting just to speed the process but if you go in summer they have some great outdoor seating!!

I live 20 min away and will make the trip for a truffle chicken salad sandwich any day. I hate seeing hatful reviews on here it’s often I stop in and hear customers being so rude and mean to the staff over nothing. Please please please be extra nice to them and patient at the end of the day it’s just food and we are all human! But 100% a must whenever I’m in town!!!
