I went to Charon today to grab some things for lunch for the first time. They had a great selection of pre-made items to pick from. The staff was very helpful in giving me recommendations based on what I like. I left with the beef bulgogi and veggie roll and spicy pickles cucumbers. Both so so yummy and fresh. I also grabbed organic chicken curry to take home and eat throughout the weekend which I’m excited to try. It may be a little pricier than other Korean places in the area but the quality is the food is worth it. They use almost all organic ingredients and clearly clean recipes. I’ve also never seen somewhere with meal prep options like this. I also really appreciated how clean the store was. I’ll definitely be back for more prepared foods.

The food is always top quality. The freshness and ingredients are noticably better than other banchan kitchens. We always love their food and it is always a treat.

Love their food! Taste, cleanliness, ingredient and everything. It reminds me of mom’s home cooked food with no added artificial stuff and sugar. I am so happy to find this place. Just wish it was closer from where I live.

Stopped by last night to pick up dinner for my large family. The owner Sandy was there and helped guide me through her selection. Everything looked so delicious. All the food is made in small batches, all the sauces not too salty or sweet. All the ingredients are top shelf quality and the containers are compostable so no worries about chemicals leaching into your food. “Food touching food.” We got an insane number of snacks, dishes, soups, and frozen dumplings. Everything has tasted amazing so far. The burnt rice crackers are crazy addictive! You must try them if you haven’t!

It is a total rip-off. A $48 dumpling soup for 2-3 servings came with 7 small dumplings. 5 of 3-inch seafood pa-geon cost $18. These prices are simply wrong. No Korean people with sane mind would pay this price for these types of dishes.

I have been going to Charim, since it opened 2 years ago in Fort Lee. This has become one of my favorite Korean food eateries in Bergen County. I have never been disappointed by the quality and choices available. Sandy (owner of Charim), is amazing to deal with, and offers such wonderful customer service, and truly wants you to enjoy the food you purchase from her establishment. She goes out of her way to treat every customer with care and respect. I know there are a few reviews, where some have complained about the cost. It’s possible some items might cost a little more, but you are paying for fresh, top quality, and foods prepared with clean ingredients. For me personally, I have tasted the quality in every chicken, pork, and fish dish, I have purchased. I have no reservations in encouraging and recommending people who live near and in Fort Lee to check out and enjoy the delicious variety of Korean food offered at Charim.

Charim is our new go to for fresh, home made Korean food. It’s clean, not overly seasoned and really good. Compared to the stuff I buy at H- mart, certain items last longer as well and my mom told me it’s because they probably don’t use MSG or too much sugar. I’ve recommended this place to various friends and they all loved it. I wish they had a store in Manhattan but they also do deliver every Friday to the city if you get your order in by Wed night. The only thing to mention that I think they can improve is being better about communicating delivery times. Last time they said Friday and I called them a few times to get a exact time slot as the food needs to be refrigerated so someone has to be home. This coming delivery they said Saturday and that’s the only info offered and I had to call them to ask what time as I won’t be home all day..

This place is by far the most reliable and trustworthy Korean prepped meal/food store throughout NY/NJ/CT area, where I can pick up quality Korean prepped food or ban-chan. Unlike other places which put too much food additives such as MSG or Hondashi, the foods that I pick up at Charim have none of those additives but still taste excellent. Also, Charim procures their ingredients from reliable sources that care the quality. I learned this info from my friend, who runs a premium natural Korean grocery and has supplied his products to Charim. If you are looking for premium quality Korean food, this is the place to go.
