Great old feel to the bar and the bar tender is awesome. Plus they now have BBQ on the menu which is great. If you haven’t been to Pecos Pit BBQ you can now get some of the menu here, that being said you’ll want to hit their original location in SoDo too. You can sit inside at the bar or outside to enjoy some downtown Seattle people watching while you enjoy a cold beer or cocktail. If you happen to be visiting Pioneer Square this is one of the stops you’ve got to make.

Great, friendly service. Awesome atmosphere. A historic touchpoint of the grunge movement and continues to be for local music. Also, cool t-shirts.

Fun vibe with reasonable prices. It’s a grunge bar. Seattles oldest bar. Nirvana played here, fun open mic opportunities. The fridge cabinets and bar top are original from 1892. Really good spot here.

Little did we know what we were stepping into when we decided to stop here for lunch. It made my husband’s little grunge heart happy.

Visited on a trip from the UK, being fans of grunge and to check out the place where much of it all began. We were not disappointed!

Wow, I couldn’t have loved this place more! Aside from the obvious history, I found my new favorite band here, Sirsy! They don’t have your typical cover bands nor do they cater to any specific musical genres. There was a cover charge, like ten bucks that night, but was well worth it. The staff was amazingly cool considering there were mostly regulars but we were not ignored and was treated as if we too were regulars. I will 100% come back here every time I get to Seattle!!!

Old Seattle history right here. Many bands you’ve heard of played here before hitting the big time! Good drinks, decent beer selection. Music most days of the week. $10 cover on busy nights/wknd. Bartenders are attentive, no wait staff. 1 TV in the place, a game might be on, not a sports bar. Very accessible disability-wise.
