Thoroughly impressed. I ordered the soup of the day which was a curry leak soup. It wasn’t too heavy, and the curry was nicely balanced. The portion served was perfect as a precursor to my meal. For my main course I chose the filet- cooked medium, and with the glaze on the side. I didn’t even need the sauce as the steak was one of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely on par with high-end steakhouses. Came with garlic fingerling potatoes and carrots. BYOB- not a problem. Had a great time in this cozy little treasure of a restaurant.

Large party of 14 descended on Celllo’s yesterday for the Safety Harbor Wine Festival. I was lucky enough to be asked to join them. WOW! Cello’s is definitely my new fave spot. Ellen our server, was not only incredibly talented at service, she also is dramatically inclined and therefore makes the reading of the menu somewhat like Musical theater! Many of those dining in our group are long time customers of Cello’s and I certainly know why! But how she remembered MY name…impressive. her partner Sue is like MAMA….she is the sole chef and does it all herself. The food is sublime! And SHE also knew my name! I just wanted to give hugs when we were leaving, These ladies deserve kudos from the food gods for they know how to do it right. I cannot wait to go back with my husband……BTW it’s BYOB, so bring a good bottle with you!

We wanted to try the place out, we don’t come to Safety Harbor much, and as we were driving down main street, we saw the place. We went in, and I love Egg Plant. I ordered a dish called Eggplant Polenta and my Fiance has the Salmon. Food came out… and mine was served in a huge bowl, but hardly nothing in it. I literally ate it all before she came back to ask if everything was ok… and I told her, there was hardly nothing in the bowl… for $19!!! The food was good, but the portion very small. When I asked about it, I was told the portion was large… REALLY? It didn’t even cover the bottom 1/4th of the bowl. She basically dismissed my concerns and walked away… she never came back to check on us after that. Unreal!!! Stay away! I will not be back!

Part of my trip to Safety Harbor a couple of times a year is an “experience” at Cello’s Charhouse. I always celebrate my birthday and holidays in this very intimate space. The perfect place for dinner with friends or a great date night! I usually get the salmon but the other dishes on the menu including chicken, steak, pasta, and vegetarian are all great and the sauces are homemade and original! Starting with beer cheese soup served with popcorn, a nice salad with a great vinegarette, some great bread, sides include acorn squash and carrots but change with the season. All desserts are homemade as well and de-lic-ious! Parking is convenient right next to the restaurant as well. I always have a great time and know you will too!

I love everything about this restaurant! My favorite place in all of Pinellas county. We drive all the way from downtown St. Pete to enjoy this quaint restaurant and the ladies that own it, as often as possible. The food NEVER disappoints and the atmosphere and decor is charming.
