We’re Celaya TexMex , and we’ve been a restaurant in Ames, IA, since 2022. We offer a wide selection of services, including dine-in, carryout, and birthday parties. We were founded in 2022 and have been working hard since. This restaurant is unique because it has traditional plates but with unique house blends of seasonings and sauces. We also offer a special vibe and atmosphere that welcomes all crowds. We’re looking forward to partnering with Ames, Boone, and Huxley consumers to continue to provide a premier Tex-Mex experience. Everything I’ve had here has been amazing! I particularly love the fajitas and margaritas, so it was so fun to see that they had a $5.50 margarita flight deal for Sundays! The service here has always been super quick, partially because it isn’t very crowded, but I’m hoping that can change because they deserve the business. Check them out! 🙂

Food was pretty good. Service was great. I got extra cheese sauce for my meal because I’m a cheese lover, and the sauce was great. My husband liked his pork tacos, but said they weren’t the best he’s ever had. Chicken strip kids meal and enchilada kids meal were very good. Great fried ice cream, too.

Met friends and family for lunch and it was very nice. Everyone enjoyed their food and the waiter was very careful about those who can’t have cilantro. Ames was very busy with move in day but the staff was taking everything in stride. Wonderful experience!
