Cathedral Italian Bistro was founded by the CEO of Cathedral Plumbing of Texas, Luis Uriarte as a way of celebrating Cathedral Plumbing’s success over the past decade. The initial goal was to provide Cathedral’s loyal employees with a delicious and elevated dining experience. Luis’ vision quickly expanded to give back to all of his customers and tradesmen who have made Cathedral Plumbing so successful over the past decade. Now, Cathedral’s warm and cozy bistro is open to everyone. To assist with this exciting transition, celebrated chefs were hired to produce a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Wonderful food with a creative twist. Outstanding service. Great drinks (the old fashioned with cognac is magic!). Highly recommend for any type of enjoyment. This was our first time for just a weekly date night and we will absolutely be back!

The food and drinks are incredible here!! We stumbled across this place in a search on Google Maps and decided to try it. It’s quiet and quaint yet the food is absolute perfection and the staff was very attentive. They have been open for 5 months now and are working on building a patio to expand the dining space. I recommend making a reservation as seating is somewhat limited. Mars was the bartender and our server and his drinks are beautiful, he is knowledgeable about what they are serving and he was fun to talk to. I also recommend trying the desserts because they are unique and very well done.

We went to Cathedral Italian Bistro tonight for a Girls Night Out and it was amazing. Braden was our server and made our night enjoyable. Every thing we had was amazing. The Brussel Spouts were the best! Definitely going back!!

An excellent all around experience at this Italian restaurant. Service was top notch, atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We had garlic knots (the butter candle was really cool), salad, pizza, branzino, bread pudding, affogato, and cappuccino. Everything was great. The restrooms were clean and offered mouth wash and floss picks. The kitchen was expansive and they made everything by hand. There was a lit up marble bar as well viewing the kitchen. It was a bit pricey but for the quality well worth it.

Amazing freshly-made pastas, ambiance, and employees. I sat at the bar on a Saturday night and everyone was extremely friendly. Brayden and Josh were helpful with the menu and provided exceptional service.

Very excited about this place. How it came to be is an interesting story. They have been open a few months now. I will start by saying the restaurant was having front of house issues but the kitchen made up for that. First up cocktails. I had the Bramble Martini & hubby had a classic Paper Plane, both were tasty. Second up appetizers. Garlic Knots..amazing! I think this dish sets the stage for the amazing food and will be something we order ever time. At such a low price point…if they mixed it up & gave that for free to start every meal, it would stand out. Think of bread at Rise & George’s, you almost go to those places for the bread. Third up seafood & pasta. Seared Jumbo Scallops & Brown Butter Gnocchi, both were tasty! The Scallops were cooked perfectly. The sauce & bed of cous-cous melody was a nice touch. My hubby is a huge Gnocchi fan & always orders if on a menu. We both really enjoyed it and the pesto sauce was on point. Fourth up meat & side. Rosewood NY Strip & Truffle Parmesan Fries. So hubby really enjoyed this wagyu steak topped with hurb butter. I wasn’t the biggest fan but it was probably the cut not the cook because it was flavorful. Last dessert. Hubby ordered the Hazelnut Quattro Leche & I got the Pineapple Brule Cocktail. We enjoyed both. With being new, they have time to fix the front of house issues. Location is odd but people are there. Manager said Friday & Saturday nights 9-12 turns into a nightclub vibe. So will be back to experience that. Give this place a try!

My best friend and I visited last night and we were blown away the moment we walked in! Brayden took care of us and was friendly, very knowledgeable, attentive and passionate in not just his service but his drink craft as well. I got recommended the Garlic Knots and Wagyu Bolognese by Sam and the flavor was amazing, I had to share them with my best friend! The desserts by Tanvi and the pastry team shone in the night, we couldn’t pick just one! Definitely coming back for lunch time!

Had a great time! Came here during their soft opening and sat at the counter (vs high top seating which is at the bar). From the counter seating we were able to see the staff plate the dishes and talk to executive chef Luke Rogers about the food. They have display “models” for some of the ingredients and after Chef Rogers showed us the Florentine Steak we decided to order it (it was dry aged to boot!).

Me and my husband came here after our friends recommended the place. Walking up we had no idea what to expect except hearing music and seeing a couple people out on their patio. We walked in and was shocked to see such a beautiful restaurant especially right in the center of a Plano neighborhood like this. Picture upscale, craft cocktail lounge meets craft kitchen.
