At our Greenwood, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I usually have a pleasant experience here. On august 25, 2023 at roughly 8:30 pm. I ordered through the drive through. The cashier wasn’t paying attention to me. I was explaining to her the order she recalled back to me wasn’t my order. Not sure of what her but she seemed irritated. As she went on to talk about the previous worker leaving the cash register with a specific type of change. She was so frustrated she didn’t give be my receipt.the food was fine but her body language showed frustration and irritation . Also in her speech it was shown. Most people at this location are attentive and pleasant. I didn’t get my broccoli and cheese.

I writing this posts about the menu item(garlic and herb) shrimp meal. It was not good, they soft, old to tasted. I was so disappointed with meal, had save my appetite for some Captain’s D. I guess it been an off day for you guys.

Food was ok. The manager wouldn’t confront me about kitchen substitutions. He made the cashier confront me. He was unprofessional, but the cashier did what she could to rectify the situation. The dining room looked like it was falling apart. It felt like I was eating in a dump. The fish tasted “sweaty”. It was like they cooked a lot of fish in advance and stacked it under the heat lamp. The fish didn’t feel stiff. The batter felt a little cakey. The fish was slight undesirable.

I’m going to Captain D’s me and my family eat their at least twice a week the service is always good and fast and the food is always hot and fresh we love it and I know you will too when you don’t feel like cooking and you want something good and different to eat Captain D’s is on the menu.

I usually love to eat here when I’m home visiting my parents. In this day they had a plenty of staff and the regular crew were not a problem. The manager however was changing the register or fixing it between customers and my dad said are you ready and she said no we are not ready in a stern voice and I advised her that I never heard you say wait or explain that there was a hold up. He is 79 and they did not offer the senior discount. Our total was 48.00 for three people so that to me would have been a courtesy. It was not crowded inside so they were not strung out, I forgot to mention it was hot inside, did not start to cool off until the sun went behind the clouds around 7p
