Captain Crab absolutely knocked it out of the park! The food was amazing perfectly seasoned, ridiculously fresh, and I loved how hot and spicy everything was (just the way I like it ). Every bite was bursting with flavor.
Our server Hailey was incredible super attentive, friendly, and always right there when we needed anything. She made the whole experience even better with her great energy and helpfulness.
Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Great food, great service, and great vibes. I can’t wait to come back!
This is usually my go-to seafood boil spot in the 209, which makes this visit especially disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, yet our order took forever to come out.
When the food finally arrived, it didn’t hit like it normally does. The flavor was off and just not up to the standard I’ve come to expect from Captain Crab. Waiting that long only made the letdown worse.
I’ve had plenty of great experiences here before, so I’m hoping this was just an off day — but today was a big miss.
The food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but overall it wasn’t very memorable.
Full Review:
I ordered the lunch special, but the portion size wasn’t that large compared to the price — roughly about $1 per mussel.
The taste was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but overall, it wasn’t very impressive.
That said, I figured out a way to enjoy a really delicious and satisfying meal without spending too much.
Here’s my recipe:
Order the garlic noodles and a boiling lunch combo.
Then, mix the sauce and seafood from the lunch combo into the garlic noodles.
It creates an amazing garlic boiling noodle dish!
I really enjoyed it and highly recommend trying this combination if you visit.
The service was okay. No one was rude and they promptly took our order but nothing stood out to mention.
The atmosphere when we got there was odd. It was eeriely quiet. Maybe because we for their early and there were only 3 other tables. The place filled up before we left but oddly still felt quiet. It could because everyone was stuffing there face. Lol
Overall I would recommend and for the price it’s worth it.
Last time I had the boil bag for 2 it was the best can’t complain
The staff and our waitress are welcoming and attentive.
It was our family’s first time at a Caption Crab and it was so worth it!
We ordered 2 of the family specials & got extra dungeness crab with their house special & spicy Cajun (medium)? DELICIOUS
I think you can substitute the potato for corn.
the hush puppies were okay.
They have Asian /Chinese food menu which looks yummy but we didn’t have room in our tummy to try any.
Popcorn shrimp was the best I’ve ever had. I asked for an extra 1/2 pound of snow crabs and it was $22… for half a pound. Wow!
Service was immaculate. Server was really nice and attentive. She made suggestions and checked on me very regularly. I really appreciate it.
Hush puppies were okay. Overcooked.
The boil bag itself just lacked seasoning and flavor. I got the Cajun seasoning and medium heat. Blue moon was $6 which seems high. Mix the drafted beer with actual orange juice and it’s amazing! Don’t knock until you try it.
Overall it’s a place I’d visit again around this time of day. Ambience is chill. Lots of netting and boat decorations all over.
