This place looks really shabby on the outside, but decor inside is nice. I gave it 3 stars because the food is very pricey and there is no waterfront view. Also, we visited when they went on their summer menu vs their more elaborate menu so their entrees were very limited. The Mahi Mahi was good, but our sides, which were sweet potato mashed and house slaw, were kiddie size.

We had a fantastic experience! Service was top notch, our server was friendly and professional: her suggestions were really good. Every single dish we ordered (seafood chop salad, seafood risotto special and triple tail risotto) was phenomenal! To top it off, dessert was to die for: so many options to choose from! Highly recommend this restaurant! Best in the area

Our first experience at Cape Haze Tavern. Place was recommended to us a year ago by an older man the guys at the golf course called “The Mayer”. Needless to say it took us a year to get there. The environment was awesome, the staff and management couldn’t have been nicer, and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

Went for our first time; the inside decor is quaint and relaxing with a soothing yet jazzy instrumental music. The bar is fantastic and the servers were polite, and professional. My wife had the Fish (Cod) and Chips and was very happy with her dish. I had the Shrimp Scampi; it had an excellent garlic wine sauce aroma and was accompanied with sautéed spinach and sun dried tomatoes. The pasta was perfectly cooked however my disappointment… too much salt!!

Where to start? The decoration, relaxing, wood and iron, the beautiful pictures of ocean , shores. The music is on point to enjoy a quiet and excellent meal. The food, the food was delicious. Maybe the best I’ve had in Englewood. Had the salmon with a risotto that I couldn’t stop eating even though I was already full, addictive. Hubby had steak and loved it, and he’s particular about his steak. Our server was Lisa, the nicest girl. The owner came to our table and gave us advise on the dessert. His wife is the pastry chef. They make their own ice cream!! … Will definitely be back, not cheap but you can taste what you pay in every bite. Totally worth it.

2nd time dining here. Food was excellent each time. Menu is a bit limited, and seemed even more so in the summer. No special requests(they have fish & chips with cod on the menu, but would not do a baked cod). It’s a scratch kitchen. I understand that is the policy in some places, but most restaurants I frequent would do this. I think both times we got new servers. Service was slow & they forgot things that we had to ask for more than once. Table was not cleared of dirty dishes for a long time. The food is really good though, so I’m not ruling this place out yet. The bar also has a great atmosphere.

This was our first time at the restaurant. We had the French onion soup – to die for! I had the pan seared scallops, which were cooked to perfection. My husband had the red snapper. It was good, but needed a little more flavor/seasoning for our taste. Our server was excellent – attentive, but not overbearing. The ambiance is comfortable, warm and inviting. We will definitely be going back!
