The Dubai chocolate cake and falooda were insanely rich and indulgent—such a perfect way to end the meal. You can really feel the care and pride behind everything they do here. I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant and will definitely be back. Thank you for such a memorable experience!
It was a wonderful evening at a beautiful restaurant anyone would be lucky to try.
1. Tandoori chicken boti (bland, but edible)
2. Chicken tikka masala (no spices, no flavor, just plain orange sauce curry – chicken was raw/uncooked). There was a hole in the lid to let off the heat, but it actually resulted in a lot of spillage. There are other better ways of packing hot food vs punching holes in the lid!
3. Chapathi – all uncooked
4. Lamb Biryani – rice was uncooked and smelly as if they were not washed prior to cooking. Lamb also was uncooked.
This was an Uber Eats order, so it became a nightmare to get the money back. When I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Faraz, the Chef, and he simply refused to acknowledge the issue. He was adamant that he checks and tastes each and every item, but that doesn’t seem to be case.
The photos on the Uber Eats app and elsewhere are all misleading – food looks attractive, but what you see is NOT what you get. Not sure how this restaurant has managed to get such high ratings/reviews.
RESPONSE TO CHEF FARAZ’S COMMENT:
1. Using any of the food delivery services like Uber Eats doesn’t alter the quality of the food – rice doesn’t go from being cooked to uncooked. Likewise, it’s not that chapathi left your restaurant cooked and at the time of delivery by Uber Eats, it became uncooked! So putting the blame on Uber Eats doesn’t help here.
2. I’ve seen your response to other reviews and you have apologized for the bad experience some folks have had – I don’t see any apology here. Even when I had called you to discuss the food quality after it was delivered by Uber Eats, you were just super aggressive on the phone. And don’t forget that you had even agreed to contact Uber Eats to assist with getting the full refund and I again had called you the 2nd time to let you know that Uber Eats had agreed to refunding the cost of one item, so I decided to leave it at that.
3. And these are not exaggerated claims nor do I have any personal differences with you nor do I know you personally! So stating that I’ve made exaggerated claims doesn’t help. Again, this entire matter could have been handled in a very different way without losing a customer. Focus on improving the quality, and sometimes, it’s how you handle a negative review the positive way, creates a big difference and goes a long way!
