Excellent steak and eggs. I’ve had to send food back which they got perfect the second go around. Great menu and specials. If you can’t find what you want for breakfast here, you never will. One negative, it is pricey. The atmosphere of the Southwood location is best.

We waited over an hour for food that was bland, oily, and generally unpleasant. The toast was not toasted except for one burnt corner. The tempeh BB scramble came to the table without tempeh. The spices were all wrong (we’ve ordered this before) and it was inedible. The over medium eggs were half over well and browned on the outside. One of the veggie sausages were dry and burnt and the other was barely cooked. The manager did apologize and we didn’t have to pay for food we weren’t able to eat, but it was really disappointing because usually the food is exceptional. They offered to remake everything but we didn’t have time to spend another hour waiting. It seemed like they probably didn’t have enough cooks or servers on hand.

We love thy is place for breakfast and lunch. Especially this location since we can walk to it. There are plenty of parking apots if you choose tondrive. Everyone is nice and food tastes great. They have a good menu with lots of options, especially breakfast!

I visited Canopy in Southwood for the first time today to grab a quick lunch and ended up with the best service I’ve ever received anywhere! April was my server and she literally anticipated every need that I had before I even said anything. AND she ran outside and flagged me down when I forgot my leftovers! 10/10 service!!!! And the food was great.

My sisters and I have frequented this establishment on several occasions but I have not felt the need to review until this time. We had a FANTASTIC server named Allie (hopefully that is how she spells it) that made the hiccups that we had bearable. The concerns were addressed promptly and with a positive response. All making the experience enjoyable and even entertaining. We will be returning again.

Very disappointing. Since the Southwood location is so close to work, I’ve eaten there a number of times and have always had good service and food. I went today at 11:30am. Besides myself, only two tables were seated. They were not busy! Two servers walked by me several times, never looked at me or acknowledged my presence. After about 15 minutes of waiting, another couple walked up and sat down, and were quickly brought menus. I guess I was invisible??? I walked across the street to El Jalisco and was seated in under two minutes. In less than 10 minutes I had food on the table from a very polite waiter.

My family of four went for breakfast this past Sunday. We waited quite a while (40+ minutes) to get our food and when it did arrive, one of us was missing half the order, one of us had very little food and mine was completely cold. I waited for a bit but ended up walking my food inside to ask for a hot meal. It was brought back out, still cold. It wasn’t the server’s fault, so I asked to speak with the manager. He came out and I explained that I returned the plate of cold food once and it was cold a second time. He touched the bottom of the plate and said “well, the bottom is warm, so . . ” I was tempted to ask him to touch it, but I didn’t. He didn’t offer an apology or anything, just looked at me. I asked him to please take it, I didn’t want a third cold plate of food. This location used to be great, but it seems management doesn’t care. The server apologized and I said that she didn’t need to apologize as I understand it’s not her fault. She said it had been like this all day. I am sad that what was once a great breakfast spot is no longer great.

My second review for Canopy Road. I still recommend the cinnamon roll, it’s pillowy, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth wonderfulness is unforgettable. It’s the first thing I tried on my first ever visit and it’s still my top fave. If you are more health conscious save this for the “cheat day” or try the Bee Bee skillet (healthy and filling). I’ll have to leave a future review for the country fried steak with extra gravy…. it’s to live for.
