I am a frequent eater at this establishment. Candy and Cake has a great atmosphere and is always inviting. The food is delicious. The half pound burger tastes really good. The fries are great. On Wednesdays, you get a free scoop of ice cream with your meal. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. I feel blessed to support their establishment. I would recommend their burgers and ice cream to anyone in the area!

I must say that my family and I had your delicious burgers for the very first time on Monday and we were very impressed!!! We did take out and not only were the Burgers still hot but fries were still crispy once we got home and the great flavor just made them that much better. Best burger and fries hands down!! Great food for a great price!! Plus we all got a free scoop of ice cream such an amazing deal!! I can not say enough great things about our experience. I wasn’t impressed. I ordered the cheeseburger. It was lacking in flavor. A little salt and pepper goes a long way. Also ordered a cupcake and it was unimpressive. There was nothing that set it aside from grocery store cupcakes nor did it offer any explanation for the price that I paid. The cherry on top was when the young woman handled my cupcake after mopping up water on the floor. I will not be back.

There are better and cheaper places to go. There wasn’t any candy. And no cake. Ice cream, pie, and macarons. $4 for a small scoop and $5 for 2 macarons. Also, like $8 for a milk shake. Pass. I mean it’s not the worst place, but would likely not be returning.

We flew in to visit family and found the Restaurant online and decided to check it out. We were a party of 5 and the young hostess could not accommodate us due to chocolate being in the corner. We asked if she could push the tables together to make room. She said we would be in the way of the display! I called and spoke to the owner who was not there and asked us to come back. She was really apologetic and wanted to serve us but everyone was disappointed in the way we were treated. I do not blame the owner but the staff, no one should let a customer leave that wants to Patrionize a business.

Candy & Cake is a hidden gem in Bourbonnais. Some of the best food and service is fantastic. Be sure to order the cheeseburger, fries and shake. Everything is fresh and flavorful.
