The Guthrie’s location I visited was the one in Homewood, Alabama. It only has Drive-Thru service. The food was hot and good. On this particular day, the weather was BAD!! It poured down rain for some hours. I realized when I got back to work that I was missing My coleslaw. I called the location SOON AS I SAW I WAS MISSING My slaw. The “Manager” that I spoke with told Me That it is against company policy to fix an order without My receipt. I tried to explain that I JUST LEFT the store. How hard it was raining then and STILL raining RIGHT then. I COULD NOT find the receipt!! I couldn’t even remember if I was given A receipt!!

Great location. Simple menu always means better food. Sweet tea is amazing. The sauce is great too. I would say it’s on the same level as Canes. Everyone should try Guthries especially if your a Alabama local. There’s also a location on 280 but I’ve been to both and notice this one is better overall. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great service and great employees.

SO YUMMY!! Just like Cane’s but I think I like Cane’s sauce better. Guthrie’s sauce is more like Zaxby’s. Food was super fresh and the chicken was so juicy and cooked to perfection. I had to go back around the drive thru for another sauce bc the cup they gave wasn’t enough- and I was ready to pay for it and the sweet cashier said don’t worry about it bc I had been waiting. Their customer service here was awesome. I’ll be back to try that sandwich!!

I’m dairy free so we go to the 280 Guthries all the time and they fix the chicken without dipping in butter milk and they are just as good. I come to Homewood and ask them to do the same thing for me and the lady says the owner didn’t teach them that, well you simply just dip them in batter flour because it sticks to chicken it’s simple just don’t dip them in butter milk. We will stick to 280 Guthries as the employees there are more understanding and care more about its customers.

Quick at lunch. Super simple menu. They do one thing and it’s good. But it’s huge so I spent about $12 for lunch. I couldn’t eat it all. Too much. That’s on me though. Next time I’ll scale it down.

I’ve been 3 times in the last week.. I think I cracked the code!! Whoever works on Friday nights fries the best chicken in Birmingham! We went last Friday for the first time in years.. it was fried perfectly.. returned Saturday.. it was good, not like the night before.. I happened to be in the area this past Friday night and stopped by.. fried just like the past Friday.. seasoned perfectly as well!! They need to give that cook a raise!!!

I had a taste for Guthrie’s chicken so I got in my car and went through the drive through. The service was quick and the cashier was very professional, polite,and had the most bright and beautiful smile, especially when I gave her a $5.00 tip. She even asked me was it for her? I laughed and stated “Yes”! Of course it’s for you.
