First time to come here in several years. Think this is the first time under the new management. I miss the Elk Fajitas, but it is definitely a lot cleaner and nicer then I remember. Server gave us great service, think his name was Miguel. Food was delivered hot, first time to try a Mexican Pizza, it was good. The cheese dip was like cheese out of a can, the hot sauce was Ok could have been hotter. The chips were thick. Cups never got half empty, always checked on us if we needed anything. The only downside at this visit it was hot inside the restaurant. But it’s also 108 outside, but could have been a few degrees cooler inside. Will go back when the outside temperature comes down a bit!

This place used to be good as we would come here when we were in town. This trip into town and Campo Verde was different. The menu was less than half the size. While the charro beans were very good, the tortilla soup was pure salt. The ground beef tacos were terrible. I don’t think it was meat. It had the consistency of rubbery tofu and was a dark brown color. The cheese enchilada tasted like someone sliced a piece of Colby cheese and wrapped it in a tortilla and called it an enchilada. The cheese was still hard and it was tasteless. This was the last time I will come here. Our waitress was new and learning the ropes but had no help or guidance from anyone. Half our table got their food but didn’t get the silverware until 20 minutes later after our food was cold. And an additional 10 minutes before the rest of our party got their food. The cook also didn’t get the orders right. Terrible restaurant now. What happened?

Truly hurts my heart to post this as I grew up eating here with my parents. Service and atmosphere was great except for the trains not working which made my 5yr old sad.

Food has gone downhill over the years and I was hoping with new owners it would improve, yet I left there still not impressed with the food….. I wish their effort in food was the same as the Christmas decorations.

This is the wall to wall Christmas Mexican restaurant. Most of the suspended decor stays up year round with more added during the season. Food is good standard Tex-Mex. The Margarita was strong and extra frosty. No complaints. The place really deserves a visit during the holiday season at least once.

Update: we came back last night as I wanted my mom to come here. She can’t do any food that is spicy whatsoever.

I’ve been eating here since high school in the mid 80s, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back. The new menu is drastically reduced from what they use to offer. The portions are much smaller even though the prices have increased. The food quality was not good. Even the iconic chips are not the same. The place now smells of cigarette smoke. Just because you are technically in Pantego does not mean you have to have smoking inside. It never smelled like smoke before the ownership change. About the only good thing I can say about this visit is that we had a very pleasant server who was pretty attentive. Why buy an established restaurant that is almost always busy and make so many changes? It’s a shame to see what had happened to this icon of Arlington!

What happened!? Very cool place and has been for many years. Thankfully when the new owners took over they left most of the inside alone. The food however, is another story. They’ve change the menu and I really feel it’s sub par from what it used to be. Serving sizes are much smaller as well. This place used to be great, now it’s just meh.

I love all of the Christmas lights, and the service was spectacular. Burrito was pretty good, as well as the fajitas, but you have to come for the ambience. Usually not a big wait on weekdays but it’s usually a long wait on weekends, especially around the holidays.
