Great steakhouse! Service was excellent, food is great.
There was about a 30min wait, but it was worth it.
We had all the cuts of meat, they were all really good. The salads were good as well, I also recommend the fried okra.

We walked in to a packed lobby and a fair open dinning room had to wait 40 min to be seated. When the lady lead us to a table with chairs missing the took our drink order she came back with our drinks and another persons order and slammed the drinks on the table the walked off. She then came back with an appetizer then when ordering the waitress walked away the food came back but it seemed really small but still it was good. Maybe coming on a weekday you would yield better service

I’ve never heard of this restaurant. I had no expectations nor did I think to read reviews prior to stopping. First impressions was in the parking lot, Sunday afternoon 1:30 pm the parking lot looked full. We were seated immediately. The server was exactly what you want in a server10 out of 10. The bread was fresh, butter and honey, very delicious. I ordered the cheeseburger, it says on the menu, our ground beef, I wasn’t sure what that meant. I can say in all my cheeseburger experiences this is by far the best I have “ever” had. Wife orders the pork ribs, delicious. Being from Oklahoma, I won’t make a special trip here, but when driving this way I will never pass this place by. I would say if your thinking about getting a cheeseburger, it’s $11.99. You’ll pay that anywhere for mediocre. 100% glad we stopped here.

What a place to find! If you love steak, fresh ingredients, smiling faces and not break the bank then this is the steakhouse for you!! The service is second to none. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but we were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and eager to answer all of our questions. The salads were fresh and crisp. The steak was spectacular!! Everything we ate was perfect. No matter the occasion go to Callahan’s Steakhouse!!

So disappointed to learn that Callahan’s no longer hand-batters their country fried steak.
They’ve unfortunately followed the trend of using frozen, pre-prepared steaks. Callahan’s used to be one of the very few places that did it right – hand-battered and consistently excellent. That’s what made it special and why we came to eat here. Otherwise the staff is awesome and the other foods are good.

Later in the evening, about 8:30, we opted for a nicer dinner experience than something quick before heading back home to Grove. There was no wait but it was Friday night after New Years and there was still a healthy attendance; rightfully so, it was a lovely experience. Aside from waiting a couple minutes longer than would be the norm for an initial greeting and drink order, the service was quite good. Both of us ordered steak dishes, and I’m so glad we did. Quite honestly one of the absolute best grilling (and perhaps aging) executions I’ve ever tasted. He cut through his and showed me, it looked like something I’ve only seen in advertisements, just perfection…on a $14 sirloin! With their mac & cheese dish to compliment, he was quite pleased. I opted for a baked potato which was done just fine. Side salads ordered had just a bit too much dressing for both us but not a big deal. The atmosphere isn’t Longhorn, but it’s noticeably clean and quiet (a big plus for me; hard to enjoy a loud meal). Upon requesting boxes, waiter returned with those and to go cups (without being asked). What a great dining experience. I would go again hands down any day! Thank you Callahans for the effort you’re putting into the business and giving so many the taste of excellence that is fading from the foreground in so many restaurants. God Bless you for years to come

I’ve had good and bad experiences here. Once we were sat down and no one took our order or drinks for 15 minutes. Another table was sat right next to us and they were served but we were not. I think what has changed my mind about this place is the amazing waiter that I have had the past few times. Amber is so kind and always checks on us. The food is pretty good too!

Highly recommend the steaks here. On this trip, I had the ribeye, which was so tender and juicy. On Fridays, this place is super busy, so if you are a large group plan to wait. The food is definitely worth the wait. Meals come with a freshly baked mini loaf of bread. The baked potato was so delicious. Their version of ranch dressing was very favorable on the salad. I could have made a meal out of the salad. I left with a small doggie bag even though I arrived starving.

The service was great, and the place was really clean, but the food was just ok. I ordered Mac and cheese as a side and was expecting something original, but I was very disappointed to see literal Kraft Mac and cheese on my plate- especially because this side item came with an up charge and was advertised as a “premium side”. lol. I can get a whole box of this stuff for less than what I paid to get a side of it here. The rest of our food was just ok, nothing to make us want to come back.

I ordered med rare burger and fries with salad. Salad was meh, small dinner salad with iceberg lettuce and 1 slice of tomato. My burger was raw. Not rare or anywhere near medium rare, the center was still cool to the touch. I sent it back to the kitchen, which I rarely do, and recieved it back STILL RAW! I know better than to send food back again, so I ate around it. My sons ordered chicken fried steak which was chewy and bland, with ridiculously salty, overcooked green beans. My oldest, who lives on salt, wouldn’t even eat them. The mashed potatoes were really good as was the bread.
The general consensus of our table of 6 was that this place can cook a tasty steak but nothing else was up to scratch.
