Our little group stopped in here to grab lunch after visiting the Mushroom Festival. We primarily picked this place because their website had stated that they did wine and beer tastings. Their website was a little strange and I should’ve called because we found out that they only did tastings at the Glen Mills location. That was a bummer but not a game changer. My husband got the flat bread pizza, and my girlfriend and I shared what I believe to be the Mediterranean platter and I also got a cup of the mushroom soup. Everything was very delicious especially my soup! We did not have a very big appetites from being out in the sun earlier. However we saw other peoples food coming out and the portions on their food looked very big and the food look delicious as well. I would definitely go back another time and try some thing from the dinner menu.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch, chosen based on my husbands love of gazpacho. The Mediterranean sampler was great, gazpacho was delicious with a touch of watermelon. Loved the outdoor sidewalk seating.

Love this place! Had dinner with the family here on a Sunday evening. Flatbreads and pizza were awesome! Delicious crust, generous toppings. Beet salad was fresh and tasty with a kiss of lemon. Chicken tortellini was exquisite. Shrimp fajitas had the perfect balance of spice and flavor. Ended with chocolate mousse – perfect! Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is lovely – amazing artwork. Overall delightful and memorable experience. We will be back.

This was my first time at Byrsa Bistro in Kennett Square. The ambiance was good, but the service was terrible. The server Adriana wasn’t very friendly and didn’t know how to describe any of the dishes in the menu. We asked about the seafood Paella and she said there was a bunch of seafood in it. But she couldn’t tell if it was good. My wife and I ordered a soda and it was served on a glass with ice. We thought it was free refills but we were charged for each of the refills. The server never informed us that they didn’t have free refills. When you serve soda in a glass with ice, you are led to believe it’s from a soda machine and therefore has unlimited refills. One of the servers named Madeleine came to our table to confront us because we complained about the misinformation. This is ridiculous! How can you confront a guest over a soda? She should have apologized for not informing us and removed the extra charge. This server was very rude to me and said that they don’t offer refills because they’re like a fine-dining. That bistro has nothing to do with fine-dining. Especially because the service is terrible, the glassware and ambiance are of casual dining. I’m not coming back.

My wife and I had a really nice evening dinner out front. Tables were in a nice spot to sit and watch things go by in Kennett. Both the dishes we ordered were very good, the iced tea was more interesting than the usual (maybe Mrs. Robinson’s had a hand in that?). I appreciated the Levante beer selection and it was fun to try their Byrsa wine.

I came to this place back in 2018 and it was to die for. The food was awesome and portion was reasonable. We came back again in 2021 Christmas. The size of the same dish shrunk and was way salty. I ordered seafood paella, the size of the shrimp is the size of a nickel. Today we tried again. The size of the Flatbread shrunk 1/2 size compare to 3 month ago. 3 entrées 2 drinks 1 appetitizier 150 dollar besides tips. I will not be going back if I can help it, thanks. 2 stars for decent service.

We went here on a Tuesday night. There was no one else eating inside or outside which should have been our first clue, but it was a Tuesday so I figured maybe it was just a slow weeknight. Ordered a pizza and it was good, but a little under cooked. I ordered a caesar salad and for $13 I was very disappointed. It was very small with little dressing and way too many croutons. For $13 I expected more. My husband got a $27 tortellini dish which was small, but tasty. Our food took a bit to come out, but the waiter said they were having staffing issues…I get it, you can’t help that. He brought us hummus and pita “chips” which was just pita bread sliced up. That tasted under cooked too. Overall, for the price, I expected more. Small dishes, too costly for what you get, under cooked food, and staffing issues. I’d pass on this place.

Order and enjoy the lamb pizza frequently. Tonight’s version was missing the goat cheese. Flavor disappointment and the crust was very moist almost wet. Didn’t feel like the same restaurant. Sure hope it was a one off…. But won’t make the effort for lamb and goat cheese …. When the cheese is left off.

The food is fresh and well prepared. Unfortunately, we may have caught them on an “off” night as it relates to service. We were immediately seated at a table in the front of the restaurant properly distanced from other tables. Oddly though, it was by the hostess stand which was occupied with 1-3 people at all times literally within inches of my seat. At one point, I had to dodge an elbow to the head. Water came quickly, but we had long delays between placing an appetite order and finally placing our entree order. Although we arrived at 7:30 and closing time was 9, we were still on our entree when it hit 9. Unlike other restaurants that have their closing hour as their last seating time, for Byrsa this was clearly their close the door and get out time. Our check was dropped at the table without any offer of dessert (which we had watched get delivered around us all night). We asked if we could still get dessert or if they were closed. We got dessert, but ate it uncomfortably as workers scurried around us cleaning up. We had our credit cards in the check folio for at least five minutes when a worker we had not seen before came to the table asking if we had done anything with it – they did not look to see that it was waiting on the edge of the table for them to just take. While the owner had spoken to all the tables around us, we just got a rebuffed look as he sat to eat at the bar at the end of his night and we waited to get our slow to come slips to sign so that we could leave. So, the food would have been worth returning for, but the residual feeling left by the service will keep us from coming back.

It’s not fair when you order Kebab’s over the phone with guests at home and at take out time they say menu is old and they don’t have kebabs. You just took the order over the phone and confirmed the order. How do we feed everyone with just a pizza ? We feel cheated and Sorry to say Very poor order handling and unprofessional service experience. Hope it improves in future.
