I don’t go out very often, but this time I decided to try this place. I ordered the Maxx Burger based on a friend’s recommendation – he had it in Framingham and really liked it. I asked for it medium well, but it came out well done and burned. That completely ruined what could have been a good burger. Maybe this particular location was just a bad choice.

We went to Burtons for brunch, obviously expecting great things because of how good their dinner is. To the bad stuff out of the way, the drinks were rough. We ordered a few iced coffees and an espresso martini. The martini was very strange tasting; it tasted like it was made with a screwball whiskey or an amaretto because it was very nutty. I checked the menu to see if I ordered the wrong thing, but I hadn’t. Iced coffees weren’t great either. We got a variety of dishes, I got the chicken and waffles. It was fine. The hashbrowns were the best part of everyones meals. I don’t think i’d go back for brunch.

I literally just ate the best steak in my life. And I am a steak person. Had a Wagyu Ribye from the specials it was cooked to perfection. And it was so soft and juicy like I’m eating a piece of fruit. Service was also on the spot. I wish I know the girl who took care of us, but we were at the high tops at the bar so shoutout to her. This was our first time at the Burtons but definitely not our last.

10/2025. My friends, wanted to check out the new bar at Burtons in Hingham. I was disappointed when I asked for the bar wine , “we don’t have that anymore, the cheapest we have costs $16.Dollars a glass ”!
What I checked on the menu The prices of food are up also. They must be paying for that new larger bar ! And Because I was with my two friends that I don’t see often, I got it and an appetizer of broccoli! Which was too hard and not tasty with little bar flies around it .Almost $31.00 dollars for this tax and tip –
I will never go back . The worst part is the woman that asked us to go didnt show up! She is very wealthy and when I told her the cost for wine said she’s never going to pay that!
2024; Saturday BUSY! – Burtons started out traumatic in that it was very packed and seven of us kept getting pushed around by people and poor waitresses for about 25 minutes after our reservation time because woman at the large table wouldn’t leave even after being totally done ! The female assistant manager was “not very polite” to us regarding the situation.
But someone, other than her must’ve noticed because when we finally sat down, the waitress apologized and said that they would like to buy us two appetizers for the inconvenience.
We got the fried cauliflower which I’m looking forward to having again -everyone enjoyed it.
My friends who had the soup absolutely loved it.
One had the chicken starter and it was plentiful and delicious !
The friends who had the salads really enjoyed them.
One man asked for his food to be really hot and the french fries were not . The male manager immediately rectified it quickly bringing back hot ones!
Sadly my GF veggie burger was not tasty (the best are “Impossible”burgers.which I have at home and are served at another
restaurant.)
The waitress was “very good,” very attentive and wanted to make sure that the bad experience was resolved. We told her it was and thanked her. We went on to enjoy ourselves! We will go back !
Stop in at the nice bar (if you can get a seat?) Martinis are small.
We saw Mr. And Mrs. Santa Claus at Derby Street and took pictures . The lights were very festive but for some reason, they no longer have the carolers singing at Derby Street which is very disappointing! Sad! More people would come to Hingham to shop .

We enjoyed our latest visit to Burton’s. The newly decorated room offered an elevated experience. The food was quick, hot and tasty. The service was thoughtful and attentive. Our waiter Gary did a nice job reccomending a fall drink and reminding my wife of our free dessert due to our frequent accumulated points. Overall a nice experience.
